“Doctor” Johnny Fever: This is SHOTS FIRED! I’m Johnny Fever, sitting here at 205…I’m hot as hell, but I’m still alive!
Venus Flytrap: I’m Venus Flytrap, nearly 6 feet tall and when I turn to the side, I go wall to wall!
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: You’re gross.
Venus Flytrap: Don’t sweat it, most won’t even get that.
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: If you say so! Anyway, last week saw the Hit Girls weather the Storm. Vaughn struggled on Offense, only managing to find Coda for her only touchdown against 2 unfortunate interceptions. Fortunately, she was much more successful on Defense, taking home Defensive Player of the Game after leading the team in tackles and getting 2 picks of the opposition. If you are going to make up for a tough day passing, that is the way to do it!
Venus Flytrap: If I say anything bad about Angie everyone is just gonna bite my head off!
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: So you’re not going to say anything?
Venus Flytrap: HA! Angie looks like an elite QB, but she’s not! She throws the ball a mile, but it’s all over the place. She has 2 left feet and she refuses to trust the best damn receiver in the league!
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: Roxy Cotton?
Venus Flytrap: NOW YOU’RE GETTING IT!
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: That was sarcasm. Anyway, I disagree with you on Vaughn, but she did have a poor day at QB, I cannot dispute that. However, the team rallied and found success in other areas of the game to secure the win.
Venus Flytrap: Shout out to Maria, who had a 75 yard return and also got another rushing touchdown to secure the win. Coach has to be very happy with that…among other things.
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: Speaking of Coach, there was some more controversy when instead of going for the kneel down, he sent Honey Sunshine out to kick a field goal that really wasn’t needed. What about it, Fly?
Venus Flytrap: Plain and simple, Coach saw an opportunity to drive some stats and he took it. You don’t see anyone crying over Honey earning Offensive Player of the Game off it, do you?
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: Well, I don’t think she cares about that.
Venus Flytrap: You know who does? HER BANK ACCOUNT!
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: Fair point. Let’s move on to today’s game, with Cincy going to Detroit. We started the season with a win over them. They floundered a bit and have rebounded to host this very important rematch.
Venus Flytrap: There is a lot more going on here than people realize and I am going to break it down. Beyond the fact that Sidney Grey, who was fired from Cincy and now plays for the Rampage, nearly tried to murder Angie in that first meeting…now, I am getting word that those two have gotten chummy and it doesn’t sit well with the team owner.
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: So, Kenzi Grey is upset that Vaughn and her mother are getting along?
Venus Flytrap: I heard there was a huge fight last night and Kenzi was plenty pissed at Angie. I wouldn’t be surprised if Angie got benched or fired today! I, for one, can’t wait to see it!
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: Wow! You really have your ear to the locker room door, don’t you! I can’t wait to see how that plays out!
Venus Flytrap: Oh, that’s not the only beef in this game. Sidney and Katie have been having words all week. Katie has been getting on Sidney’s age and Sid’s been going after Katie for her weight. I am expecting a fist fight today if they meet up!
“Doctor” Johnny Fever: Wow! There will be plenty to be on the lookout for today! I can’t wait to see how this one plays out. That will do it for us, we will see you next time on, SHOTS FIRED!
