CTN INSIDER MAGAZINE
Interviews Angelica Vaughn, Ladies All-Star Wrestling, Alianza Del Campeonato Mexicano, Rose City Wrestling, and Fight 2 Win star!
Angie Vaughn is a triple threat; wrestler, LFL star, and model. What’s next for this Cool Kid? Let’s find out!
CIRCLE TV: First off, how are you doing physically? For those who don’t know, you were savagely attacked by Voidstar in Alianza Del Campeonato Mexicano last week.
ANGIE VAUGHN: Thanks for having me! Physically I am not at the best I've ever been at. My head still hurts a bit, but the bottom line is this: I can fight! I will require protective headgear for Ladies All-Star Wrestling #71 tonight but I feel confident we can get the win.
CIRCLE TV: Let’s go back to the attack. Do you know why Voidstar singled you out, attacking you from behind with a steel chair? It seemed personal.
ANGIE VAUGHN: Most of the times, there seems to be a method to a man's madness, but Voidstar seems to have singled me out for no reason. I mean, I might have provoked him a bit, but I think I underestimated just how spiteful and ruthless he can be. Something I said must have triggered him to the point where he felt such aggression was necessary. Not only that, but he has been very disrespectful towards El Heroé Azul, a man I look up to, and who is a bonafide lucha legend! We hope to be getting some payback soon! Maybe he feels threatened by me because I am a young rookie on the verge of a breakout moment. He feels he needs to reassert his dominance and has chosen me to be an example to the rest of the world. But he'll learn I won't stay down easily.
CIRCLE TV: Speaking of, it looks like ACM has booked you in a 2 on 1 handicap match against Voidstar. Do you think you’ll be 100% by then?
ANGIE VAUGHN: I sure hope to be! Of course my LAW match alongside Ash [Ashley Williams] will take a lot out of me but I'm blessed to have such a great circle of friends and an entourage that helps me in every way conceivable. Azul and I will be ready for him. More than ready.
CIRCLE TV: Let’s talk about LAW. You and Ashley Williams have set your sights on Farrah Cornett and Madigan Star [The Boardwalk Angels], but tonight will be a tough test.
ANGIE VAUGHN: Yes! Prime Addiction will be a very tough battle, but we can overcome them. We're too far into this race to the tag team titles to lose our lead now. Ash and I respect the Boardwalk Angels a hell of a lot, but we've never had them 2 on 2. After tonight I hope we will have proven beyond reasonable doubt that there is only one team worthy to challenge them for the titles, and that's the Queens of Wrestling [Vaughn and Williams]. Our record isn't perfect, but speaks for itself. We deserve it more than just about any other team out there, I believe.
CIRCLE TV: LAW 71 is stacked with teams, including Prime Addiction, The Naughty Girls, The Dynasty, & Team Kickass. Do you have an eye on any of them?
ANGIE VAUGHN: I have a lot of respect for all of them. Team Kickass especially, who are close friends. But Ash and I have been the team that's been consistently tagging the most, AND being quite successful in the process. Whilst they're great...we deserve it more. Those titles are our dream!
CIRCLE TV: Let’s talk about Rose City Wrestling. You have been right on the cusp of capturing gold there, you’ve been in high profile matches, what’s next?
ANGIE VAUGHN: RCW has been a rollercoaster ride for me. I've suffered some tough losses against the likes of Marilyn Lee Cross, and my spat with Katie Moicelle was erm...controversial at times. And yet, I did indeed get very close to becoming the very first Triple Crown Champion of RCW. My loss against Kristina Von Doom was a bitter pill to swallow. But the only way is up, right? Unfortunately, due to Voidstar's actions I had to miss a high profile match against Sam Tolson which was a damn shame. I just hope I can recapture the momentum I once had soon.
CIRCLE TV: When can we expect to see you back in a RCW ring, and will that first match be against Tolson? That could be a big money match for you!
ANGIE VAUGHN: Unlikely that I'll be facing Sam on my return. The next show is in Vancouver, and she has already been booked in a different match. I suspect I'll be put in a 'regular' match, to prove to management and the fans that I am still as dedicated and committed as ever. I don't have any illusions. I don't expect them to thrust me right back into that main event scene. The coming weeks will be all about rebuilding what I had, and starting back from the bottom. But I'll do it. Gladly. And I'll show them I've got what it takes to carry the company. But a match in my beautiful hometown of Vancouver will be a great way to reestablish myself as one of RCW's top stars, even though some may never see me as such. But I'll put in the work required. I always do. I know I sometimes act silly, but I take my wrestling very seriously.
CIRCLE TV: Let’s talk about the Lingerie Football League. You missed the last game with Cincinnati Hit Girls in Hawaii, but they rallied to support you. What did it mean to you?
ANGIE VAUGHN: It was incredible! Their love and support was rather overwhelming. The Hit Girls have really become like a 2nd family to me, and I hated not being able to be in Hawaii. Luckily dear friends like Kenzi Grey tried to make me feel better about it. She didn't really succeed... But I'm sure that everything she said was said with the best of intentions. She is so nice sometimes!
CIRCLE TV: Will you be ready for the next home game against the Buffalo Blizzard on the 27th? The fans will certainly be out in force for you either way.
ANGIE VAUGHN: I hope to be! It will depend on a lot of factors. Maybe I'll have to go my defensive and line duties, but the legs under this 5'9” girl will kick some pigskins, I can pretty much guarantee that!
CIRCLE TV: Last week, Roxy Cotton was holding out until your injury, but afterwards she surprisingly put aside her issues with the team. How close are you two?
ANGIE VAUGHN: Well...people often say Roxy is mean and controversial, and they have a bit of a point. But at the risk of ruining her reputation, I will say that she has shown me extraordinary kindnesses in the past that others wouldn't believe even if I'd tell them. I consider her a good friend.
CIRCLE TV: Speaking of friends, your relationship with the Cool Kids has been a sore spot with many people. What do you say to those who want you out of that group?
ANGIE VAUGHN: They're my friends and have done right by me. They trust me, I trust them, and we'll always have each other's backs. That's all I have to say about that.
CIRCLE TV: You were the very first model featured in CTN Magazine for Firestarter Clothing. Can we expect to see a lot more of you in fashion shows?
ANGIE VAUGHN: I hope so! It's a privilege to have been trusted to help push a brand like this. I have very little model experience, but people say I've taken to it like a fish to water, and I do enjoy being on camera! ^^ I'll take any more opportunities they'll give me.
CIRCLE TV: We look forward to seeing it! Before we conclude the interview, is there anything you want to address with our readers?
ANGIE VAUGHN: Just that I hope they'll keep on the lookout for me in all my ventures! Wrestling first and foremost obviously. And not to forget about my upcoming match against Elina Cartel for Fight 2 Win Federation at the Cincy Hit Girls stadium! It's gonna be a blast!!
CIRCLE TV: We can’t wait! Thank you very much for the interview! Good luck tonight and in the rest of your many upcoming endeavors!
