 | Anka de Jarius | Hexx Played by Kenzi Grey - Season 1 to present Anka, as her name implies, is the daughter of Jarius from from Matthew 9:18-26. Stricken with illness, Anka apparently succumbs to death, only to be miraculously resurrected by Jesus Christ. The miracle is short-lived, however, after Anka's entire village is laid to waste by Romans. Anka is forced to watch as her family is brutally murdered, and she herself is defiled and nailed to a cross. Her final act is to curse the callous God who would allow this to happen, but a bolt from the heavens strikes her and she is blessed (cursed) with immortality. After a lengthy imprisonment by Rome, she escapes and wanders the earth, trapped in a world she hates and cannot leave...denied the death that would send her to be with those she has loved and lost centuries prior. Fueled by pain and rage, Anka embarks on a crusade of vengeance against Rome and the One God, himself! |
