Baltimore at Cincinnati
February 19, 2023
Coach Maleek Raheem addresses the media following The Hit Girl's 27 to 7 home win against The Bombshells.

cBS SPORTS: Coach, it's good to finally see you back for the press conference. We've missed you the last couple of games. How good was this win today?
Coach Raheem: The Bombshells are a quality team. Don't let that score fool you. They made our team fight and scrap for every single blade of grass, but in the end, we put our feet in the turf and we held our ground. This one is huge, but we can't get complacent. The work doesn't stop and the competition doesn't get any easier.
BALTIMORE DAILY: You've heard the rumors from The Insider about the petition to remove Vaughn as quarterback. Does this game do anything to quiet that rumor?
Coach Raheem: Rumors might sell a lot of papers, but Angie Vaughn has been winning a lot of games. I can tell you this, if anyone had brought a petition into MY office about MY quarterback, they'd be leaving with MY foot on their hind parts! Kenzi chose Vaughn to be the leader of this team, and she's repaid that faith ten times over.
CINCY TIMES: 14 points on the board from your wife. Can you tell us what's gotten into her these last few games?
Coach Raheem: On the record? Salvatore-Spencer has a chip on her shoulder. Week after week listening to talk about favoritism and poor ball handling is more than enough fuel for her to get fired up! Off the record? THAT'S NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS!
SPORTS RAP: The Cincy Defense has done it again, holding a tough opponent to very little scoring.
Coach Raheem: This team performs on Defense like a machine! There were huge plays by Cotton, Vaughn, and Salvatore-Spencer, but trust me, when you review the tape Monday morning, you'll see Anderson, Trixie, Cartier, and every other Hit Girl digging in and getting their hands dirty and making Cincy one of the most feared Defenses in the league.
NEWS BEAT: Have you been following the on-line feud between Ryleigh Dixon and Venus Flytrap?
Coach Raheem: Not really. Flytrap is a talking head that weighs about 115 pounds soaking wet! He can't do what Dixon does, so he runs his mouth and hides in a studio. Trust me, no one in that locker room cares what that man says!
NEWS BEAT: Except maybe Roxy Cotton!
Coach Raheem: Well, maybe...that's her business. Now, if you'll excuse me...I'm gonna see what else can get into my wife!
GO HIT GIRLS!
