SHOTS FIRED4/27/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 4 of the LFL regular season between the Honolulu Havok and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALHAVOK 35 – HIT GIRLS 32 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Game 4 is in the books and the Hit Girls have a perfect record! Unfortunately, that perfection is spelled in losses. Cincy traveled to the paradise of Hawaii to take on the 1 and 3 Havok in a divisional match up. VENUS FLYTRAP: Look, I know everyone is expecting me to come out and run down Kenzi Grey, and I probably will do that later on, but the fact of the matter is that she had a decent game. That being said, go ahead and break it down for us Doc. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: The Hit Girls jumped out to an early 10 to zip lead on the strength of a 38 yard field goal by Angie Vaughn, followed by a touch pass to Roxy Cotton from 4 yards out. The Defense fustrated the Havok during the first quarter, but they got it together quickly in the second quarter. The Havok hit two quick touchdowns, including an 80 yard bomb that put them ahead. The half ended as Angie added 3 more points to pull within a point. The third quarter saw the Havok bookend another field goal from Angie with two long touchdown strikes that pushed them to a 28 to 16 lead. The Hit Girls attempted a rally in the fourth quarter after another field goal from Angie and a 45 yard pass for a touchdown by the Havok. Milisandre Crowthorne bulled her way into the end zone to pull within 10 points. At the 3:41 mark Kenzi again hit her favorite target, Roxy from 8 yards out to pull within 3 points. Tough defense by the likes of Melissa Aki and Le Bord de Dieu who picked up critical sacks push this game to the wire. A last minute interception by Coda gave the Hit Girls one last chance, but the Havok buckled down and a final interception by the Havok ended it. All in all, a very entertaining game, and one that was lost again by a single score. With the exception of last week, that has been 3 very winnable games for Cincy, but still nothing has materialized for them on the field of play. VENUS FLYTRAP: Well, it’s obvious to me that management is NOT going to release Kenzi, so there is no need in my calling for it anymore. That being said, as I mentioned earlier, this was much sharper play from her as she threw for 377 yards and two touchdowns. Unfortunately, there were also two critical interceptions to go with that. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: With the exception of the first quarter, the Hit Girls were forced to play from behind and that meant a lot more passes had to be thrown. The real story of this game is the defense by Cincy. The defense held them to just 4 first downs and only allowed them to convert one third down for the entire game, yet they gave up 469 yards. VENUS FLYTRAP: The Havok was dropping bombs all over the place and that was the difference maker in Game 4! Playing well on the offense doesn’t count for anything if you can’t play just as well on the defense. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: It looks like Coach Heel’s cheerleader uniform change policy might have given the Hit Girls some incentive, but not quite enough. VENUS FLYTRAP: Yeah, who would have thought that wearing no panties could be so inspiring! I know I was! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will have to see what they come up with next. Join us next week when Cincy hosts the Denver Divas. Until next time, I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you on the next Game Day!

SHOTS FIRED5/4/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 5 of the LFL regular season between the Denver Divas and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALDIVAS 31 – HIT GIRLS 17 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Game 5 of the season has come and gone, and unfortunately the Girls are still left looking for that first win of the season. This game got underway with Kenzi Grey hitting Roxy Cotton from one yard out for the game’s first score. Denver answered later in the first quarter to tie things up. The second half saw Denver pull away on the strength of two touchdowns and a field goal. Angie Vaughn put up three points for Cincy in the second, but a pair of interceptions doomed any other scoring attempts. Both teams traded touchdowns in the third and fourth quarter, with Sativa Nevaeh catching a four yard pass for the final score of the game. VENUS FLYTRAP: Not at all the game that the Hit Girls were hoping for, but it was typical. Kenzi was hurried in the pocket and made two bad passes that led to momentum for Denver that was tough to overcome. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: On a positive note, Cincy continued to go after the ball, forcing two fumbles, with Angie and Kenzi knocking it loose and Melissa Aki getting a recovery under her belt. VENUS FLYTRAP: This game boiled down to the offense being shut down. The receivers were mostly held in check…with the exception of Roxy, who is damn near unstoppable! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: I would love to know what Roxy Cotton is giving you to say this stuff about her every week! You’re bias, and it is apparent to everyone! VENUS FLYTRAP: Any way! Milisandre Crowthorne was held to 68 yards and kept out of the end zone, adding to the obstacles that Cincy faced. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Venus, what did you hear about Coach Heel’s newest scheme to get the girls to play better? Rumor has it that he had a cardboard cutout of himself in the locker room and for every game Cincy won, they would get to remove an article of clothing. VENUS FLYTRAP: Look Doc, all I know is that was terrible idea! What I heard was the girls were looking to not win another game so long as that cutout was in the locker room! Now, I for one don’t believe that they would want to lose every game…but they are pretty adamant about NOT seeing Coach Heel naked in any shape, form, or fashion! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: I guess we will have to see what’s next then. Join us next week when Cincy travels to Baltimore. Until next time, I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you on the next Game Day!

SHOTS FIRED5/11/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 6 of the LFL regular season between the Baltimore Bombshells and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALBOMBSHELLS 13 – HIT GIRLS 19 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Game 6 is in the books and The Hit Girls picked up their first win of the season in a slugfest with Baltimore. The first quarter saw Angie Vaughn score the only points of the first quarter when she hit a 47 yarder at the 6:58 minute mark, tying her career long. Angie hit a 28 yard kick in the second quarter and Baltimore answered as the two teams went into halftime. VENUS FLYTRAP: Honestly, I was bored to tears with this game in the first half! No disrespect, but 3 field goals wasn't doing it for me at all! I had hoped that the two teams would get pumped up in the locker room, but to be honest...it was WORSE! There wasn't a single score in the third quarter! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: That's true. There was nothing for either team to get excited about, except perhaps their defense. Things picked up in the fourth as Baltimore tied it up with another field goal. Cincy finally went to work and Sativa Nevaeh caught a tough 14 yard pass and banged her way into the end zone for the game's first touchdown! VENUS FLYTRAP: That should have been enough to ice this game, but Baltimore showed their toughness as they battled back tied up the game with less than two minutes to go. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: This game went to overtime and momentum seems to be against The Hit Girls, but after getting the ball, Kenzi Grey-Lacklan controlled the tempo of the game and Cincy marched down the field on the strength of tough running from Milisandre Crowthorne, who racked up 107 yards on the ground, and several clutch catches from Trixie as she pocketed 122 yards. VENUS FLYTRAP: The game got put away as the best clutch receiver in the league, Roxy Cotton made a sensational leaping grab from 9 yards out to finally get Cincy that elusive first win! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Venus, it started off rough, but the team finished strong! Some other game notes; Trixie and Roxy both took home player of the game honors for their performances. Melissa Aki racked up 3 costly penalties for 25 yards and Cartier was right behind her with 2 for 8 yards. I would also be remiss not to mention Ashley Marie Chase getting a personal foul for 15 yards. VENUS FLYTRAP: Look Doc, Cincy is frustrated and that played out for Maki, Cartier, and AMC with a little bit of laundry being thrown at them. To be honest, I am willing to take a few penalties to get a way...no matter what it takes! That's what Coach Heel preaches and it worked this game! Well...that or the promise of free lap dances! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: I'm going to go with NO! But, a win is a win I guess. Join us next week when Cincy travels to The ATL to take on the ASSassins. Until next time, I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you on the next Game Day!

SHOTS FIRED5/18/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 7 of the LFL regular season between the Atlanta ASSassins and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALASSASSINS 10 – HIT GIRLS 33 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: The infamous crying woman of Cincinnati did not make an appearance for Game 7 of the LFL season as The Hit Girls put on a dominating performance in hostile conditions! The first three quarters were pretty much all Cincy as Kenzi Grey controlled the pace, throwing for over 400 yards as she hit Roxy Cotton and [/b]Coda[/b] in the end zone. Milisandre Crowthorne put on another great running performance as she scored on a dazzling 28 yard dash, and contributed to the team defense while picking up Defensive Player of the Game honors off a 2 sack and fumble recovery game. Angie Vaughn was also clutch as she was perfect in extra points and field goals! VENUS FLYTRAP: It was a great performance, especially on defense. Cincy managed to control the pace of the game behind solid tackling all around with Crowthorne getting 2 sacks and Cartier and Bordy getting tackles behind the line. It was a great game, but let’s not lose sight of the fact that this was a win over another sub 500 team, so I wouldn’t start booking tickets to the playoffs anytime soon. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Well, that is a given Venus, but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I really think the team learned something about themselves on Game Day. Whenever you can come into a strange stadium and come away with a big win, you are on the right path, and apparently Coach Heel has them doing exactly what he wants them to do right now. VENUS FLYTRAP: Well…I don’t think they are doing EXACTLY what he wants them to do, but as far as play on the field, yes…they are responding to his methods, right or wrong. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Well, that will all be put to the test next Game Day when The Hit Girls host The Pensacola Chaos, one of the newest LFL franchises. This is being looked at as somewhat of a revenge game as Delia Darling and Virginia Stone return to Cincy, looking to rub a bit of their new team’s success in their former teammate’s faces. The Chaos is coming off of a heartbreaking 1 point loss against Detroit, so nothing would make them feel better than to march into Cincinnati and get a road win to turn the tide in their division. VENUS FLYTRAP: Hey! This is a big game for a member of our team as well! Sativa Nevaeh was traded to The Chaos from Sin City and then she was traded again when Wellington Leander IV brought over Darling. Nevaeh might have some incentive to show Leander that he made a mistake, you never know! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: There are certainly a lot of things to keep an eye on for the next Game Day, and we will be right here to recap all the action for you! Until next time, I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you on the next Game Day!

SHOTS FIRED5/25/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 8 of the LFL regular season between the Pensacola Chaos and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALCHAOS 20 – HIT GIRLS 23 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Despite the doubts, The Hit Girls defied the odds and managed to pull out another victory this past Game Day against a team with a winning record, for a change. That’s right fans, Cincy managed to hold off a late charge by the Chaos to secure its third win in a row! VENUS FLYTRAP: It was good times in Cincy as the crying woman was again told to keep her tissues in her purse! Doc, tell them how it went down. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: The game started off as a stalemate in the first quarter with Angie Vaughn banging home a field goal from 34 yards out to remain perfect on the season, only to have it answered later in the first. Early in the second quarter, Kenzi Grey hit Roxy Cotton with a 4 yard touch pass to go up by 7. The Chaos banged home another field goal and again Vaughn answered to take us to the half with a 6 to 13 lead. The third quarter saw the opposition hit a 22 yard strike in response to another Vaughn field goal, pulling to within 3 points heading into the final quarter. The Hit Girls powered down the field and Roxy stuck pay dirt again as The Clear Connection pushed the lead to 23 over 13. The Chaos was down, but not out. Aiden Carlisle struck Claire Fox with a 78 yard bomb with under 2 minutes to go in the game to pull within 3. VENUS FLYTRAP: It was certainly tense Doc! We have seen this game all season long. Holding on to a lead only to have it slip away at the end. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: The Chaos was on a roll as they managed to recover the on-side kick leaving everyone in Cincy sitting in stunned silence. The Chaos was on the verge of pulling victory from the jaws of defeat when Cartier made a critical tackle, the only one she’d get this game but one kept Pensacola out of field goal range. The Chaos lined up in shotgun formation for a Hail Mary that was well within their range when Bordy made the biggest sack of her career which ended the game and pushed Cincy’s win streak to a franchise best, 3! VENUS FLYTRAP: Kenzi may have gotten Offensive Player of the Game for her performance, but the real stars of these game were on the defense. The Chaos has proven time and time again that they can score for anywhere at any time and when it mattered most, Cartier and Bordy came up big! Everyone did! Including Honey, who came in for Trixie this game. Honey racked up seven catches and went over 100 yards. Not only that, but she also got 6 tackles on defense and two tackles for losses. She might be the head cheerleader for this team any other week, but this week she was a leader of a whole different sort! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Cincy travels to Buffalo to face The Blizzard next Game Day, and we will be right here to recap all the action for you! Until next time, I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you on the next Game Day!

SHOTS FIRED6/1/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 9 of the LFL regular season between the Buffalo Blizzard and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALBLIZZARD 30 – HIT GIRLS 27 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: The ride had to end sometime and it ended in Buffalo in an overtime thriller! VENUS FLYTRAP: It was a heck of a game, despite the ending, that didn’t go our way. Lay it on them Doc! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: This game got under with Honey, subbing in for her cousin, Trixie, catching a 17 pass from Kenzi Grey, the only touchdown of the first quarter. The Blizzard stayed in the game with a 26 yard field goal. The second quarter saw an offensive explosion from the Hit Girls, as Kenzi hit Roxy Cotton and then Honey again for a pair of touchdowns. Angie Vaughn tacked on a field goal before the half and the team seemed well on its way to a fourth win. VENUS FLYTRAP: To their credit, the Blizzard stayed in this thing and proceeded to shut down the Hit Girl’s offense in the second half, with the exception of one more field goal from Angie. The Blizzard nailed a 47 yard field goal in the last minute of regulation to send it to overtime. It was back and forth in overtime until the last three minutes when Honey got a 5 yard penalty for foul language that gave Buffalo a new set of downs and put them in field goal range. I wish I knew what Honey said, but I think it had something to do with the new language rules in the league! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: I think it was a bad call and I think it was called on the wrong player! We could all clearly see that Cartier said something, then immediately pointed at Honey! VENUS FLYTRAP: When have you ever seen Cartier use foul language?! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: … VENUS FLYTRAP: Fair enough. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Congratulations to Buffalo as they pick up their fourth win of the season. Cincy is home the next two weeks, hosting The L.A. Stars on Friday! Until next time, I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you on the next Game Day!

SHOTS FIRED6/8/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 10 of the LFL regular season between the Los Angeles Stars and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALSTARS 23 – HIT GIRLS 13 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Game 10 of the season is in the books as Cincy falls to the Stars at home. The game started off with dueling field goals as Angie Vaughn connected with her longest of her career, a 51 yarder to answer LA with just over 2 minutes left in the first quarter. LA retook the lead with another field goal, only to have Milisandre Crowthorne rip a 57 yard run to pay dirt that put the Hit Girls up going into the half. The second half saw the Stars add another field goal to cut the lead to 1. The Hit Girls would only add another 3 points in the fourth quarter as LA tacked on two touchdowns, including a 108 yard kick return to lift themselves to a hard fought win in Cincy. VENUS FLYTRAP: Cincy did a good job controlling the game until the Stars took the kick return to the house. After that dagger to the heart, the Girls were unable to muster a comeback. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: It was a heartbreaking loss, but despite it all Cincy managed to snap up both Player of the Game awards, with Milisandre getting the Offensive honors and Kenzi Lacklan securing Defensive honors. VENUS FLYTRAP: Another tough divisional home game awaits. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Cincy is hosts The Havok on Friday! Until next time, I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you on the next Game Day!

SHOTS FIRED6/15/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 11 of the LFL regular season between the Honolulu Havok and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALHAVOK 27 – HIT GIRLS 3 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Game 11 was a blow out for the Havok, with Angie Vaughn being the only one to score. Angie hit a 41 yard field goal in the middle of the fourth quarter. VENUS FLYTRAP: Not a good showing by Cincy at all, but given the physical state of our quarterback, Kenzi Grey it’s no surprise. Honestly, Coach should not have allowed her to play after the beating she took at the hands of Bordy in their UGWC match at Chill. It’s a classic case of winning a battle and losing the war. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: You might be right, but Kenzi wants to lead this team and nothing short of being broken in half is going to stop her from going out on that field. Since brought up Bordy, let’s talk about her performance. If Kenzi was the walking wounded, Bordy who was also bruised and torn to shreds responded much differently. On defense she racked up 7 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, and a sack. This season she is tripling the closest player’s numbers in that category and sits in the top 10 in the league. She is a lights out defensive player! VENUS FLYTRAP: Well, violence is her hallmark in UGWC, so it figures that it would be the same in the LFL. Surprisingly, she has been able to keep the penalties to a minimum, in spite of her physical play. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Another player that came out on the recent top 10 list was Milisandre Crowthorne, topping out as the #8 running back in the league as she inched closer to breaking another 1,000 yard rushing season. VENUS FLYTRAP: Hopefully she won’t be too worn out from her honeymoon festivities as we head into our next Game Day! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Crude, but yes, congratulations to #00 as she ties the knot on Sunday! VENUS FLYTRAP: A ceremony that Roxy Cotton, the best damn receiver in the LFL is NOT invited too! So, I will not be attending either, in protest! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Pretty sure you aren’t invited either. VENUS FLYTRAP: WHAT IN THE HELL DID I DO?! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Be yourself, I’m sure. Okay guys that will do it for this episode of Shots Fired. Tune in next Game Day as your Hit Girls travel to the hostile territory of Denver to take on the Divas! Until next time, I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you on the next Game Day!

SHOTS FIRED6/22/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 12 of the LFL regular season between the Denver Divas and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALDIVAS 38 – HIT GIRLS 10 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Game 12 was another blow out as the Divas ran away with the game. Angie Vaughn stayed perfect in extra points as Milisandre Litchfield scored the only touchdown for the Hit Girls. VENUS FLYTRAP: It was a terrible game, but there were a few points of interest. Kenzi Grey threw for 367 yards. Milisandre had a good day of running the football following her special day. Finally, Bordy was benched on the suggestion of Kenzi. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: First thing, first; Kenzi aired out the ball for this game and got everyone involved, but none of the receivers could find the end zone. While that doesn’t bode well for future games, it does show that Cincy has a quarterback that isn’t afraid to target everyone on the field. VENUS FLYTRAP: What do you know about Milisandre? “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Well, Milisandre was coming off of her wedding day and she had a good game running the ball as she scored on a power run from the 1 to give her another touchdown on the season. VENUS FLYTRAP: Finally, what do you know about Bordy being benched? “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: It looks like Kenzi went to the sideline and asked to have her sit out the rest of the game following a 15 yard penalty for a late hit on the opposing quarterback. Bordy was none too happy about it as she stormed off. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some fall out from that. VENUS FLYTRAP: I also want to add in that Roxy Cotton, the best damn receiver in the LFL, cracked 1,000 yards receiving on the season! No small feat given the team’s record! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: You need to stop! Roxy doesn’t even know that you exist! Anyway, in other notes, Sativa Nevaeh led the team with 12 catches. Coda broke 100 yards on 6 receptions, including a 47 yard grab to set up the only touchdown. Finally, Ashley Marie Chase was a force as she led all blockers with 7 offensive pancakes. VENUS FLYTRAP: I guess they did okay too. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Okay guys that will do it for this episode of Shots Fired. Tune in next Game Day as your Hit Girls travel to Philly to take on the Bellas! Angie Vaughn hit her 50th straight career extra point as she stayed perfect! Roxy Cotton scored the only touchdown for the Hit Girls, a six yard toss from Kenzi Grey. VENUS FLYTRAP: The one bright spot is the ONLY bright spot and the same bright spot we have every week…ROXY COTTON! They don’t call her the best receiver in the LFL for no reason! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Literally, NO ONE calls her that! VENUS FLYTRAP: I call her that Doc. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Any way! As I said before, Angie hit her 50th extra point in a row and she was also named Defensive Player of the game as she racked up 12 tackles! VENUS FLYTRAP: Toughest kicker in football! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: No one calls her that! VENUS FLYTRAP: I call her that! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Honey Sunshine was activated and played for Trixie for the second time this season. Honey racked up 5 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception. VENUS FLYTRAP: Not bad for a scab. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Honey isn’t a scab, you jerk! Anyway, that will do it for this episode of Shots Fired. Tune in next Game Day as your Hit Girls come home to take on the Boston Black Mambas! SHOTS FIRED7/6/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 14 of the LFL regular season between the Boston Black Mambas and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALBLACK MAMBAS 27 – HIT GIRLS 31 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Well guys, it was a long time coming, but the drought is over. Game 14 of the season saw Cincy return to the winner’s circle at home against a very game Boston team in the wildcard hunt. This game was a close one, and it was decided by strong defensive plays when they were needed which matched a surge by the offense. VENUS FLYTRAP: Before you get too deep Doc, we have to talk about the biggest story to come out of this game, and that was the abrupt departures of Melissa Aki and Daniela from the team. It left the team a bit flat footed heading into this game as they wondered what they would do without the solid play they had been getting from her in tackling and in blocking on offense. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Six days ago, after a heated exchange with Roxy Cotton over social media, Maki tweeted her desire to leave the team to the General Manager, and she was immediately granted her departure from the team. I won’t get into graphic details about it, but I think it involved comments Roxy made regarding her recent break up with AMC. VENUS FLYTRAP: Well, I will talk about it, since that’s what I do! Everyone knows that Roxy is outspoken and she doesn’t pull any punches. If you are have toilet tissue feelings, Roxy will probably find a way to wipe her ass with them sooner or later. Honestly, I never saw Maki as someone who was that fragile, but word on the street is that she put Roxy on BLOCK and she’s been looking at other opportunities, mainly Toronto. Sidney Grey brought Amira Kassouri up from the practice squad to fill the hole. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Good insight there Venus. We will get into that after the recap. VENUS FLYTRAP: No doubt! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: This game was a see-saw battle that saw both teams trading the lead back and forth through the third quarter. Roxy made back to back touchdown grabs to keep Cincy in the game, and Coda made a sensational 12 yard catch to tie the game back up. Boston would go up by 3 as the game moved into the fourth quarter. It became of game of field position after Kenzi Grey connected with a 21 yard pass to Trixie, who scored her first touchdown of the season, and the longest one of this game. Boston made several pushes at the end, but critical tackles were made by the defense when it mattered, and that was the difference as Boston was held scoreless in the final quarter. VENUS FLYTRAP: The defense stepped up BIG! Amira came in with less than a week of work and she contributed. Bordy got her sack attack back on track! Cartier was fired up and was knocking people around on defense like pins in a bowling alley. However, the biggest contribution came from AMC who racked up 9 tackles and a sack to fuel the final defensive stand…and make sure that the best receiver in the LFL, Roxy Cotton, got her team another win! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: NO ONE calls her that! VENUS FLYTRAP: I told you last week, I call her that Doc. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Fine! It was a big team win heading into the final two games of the season before Cincy starts looking to make some moves. It was announced last week that Deuce Holmes would be assuming the mantle of Head Coach and Stephen Eversol would become the Strength and Conditioning Coach. With those moves, Generic Heel turned his full attention to Special Teams where he hopes to continue working closely with Angie Vaughn. What have you heard about these moves, and do you know what else might be coming down the pipe? VENUS FLYTRAP: Mr. Holmes made his walkthrough the facility last Friday before the game and I was there…just a fly on the wall, and I heard a few things. Two other big name players are likely to depart this season as well. I am not going to name names, but I know the internet will be running wild with speculation over who it will be. In addition, I don’t know how serious the offer was, but Alessandro Quagliaterre tweeted at Kenzi and put out what might or might not be an overture for her to go to Toronto as the backup quarterback. If a deal is made with Maki, who knows if that offer becomes something real or not. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Any word from Kenzi on if she’s considering it? VENUS FLYTRAP: Rumor has it that money is a factor for her right now, so who can say. There was a bit of a shakeup in Cincy’s ownership, so whatever protection Kenzi enjoyed before would certainly be gone as we head into the off-season. We could see her traded or released after free agency opens back up. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: That’s terrible! Cincy might not be a winning team, but Kenzi has brought a lot of spirit to this game and if we lost her, it would be a tough void to fill! VENUS FLYTRAP: As quarterbacks go, Kenzi is middle of the road, and that is being generous! She loves to throw, throw, throw, but if you aren’t hitting all the targets, like she did today, you’re not top tier! Cincy might have a chance to get a marquee quarterback in the mix for a change. We will see who comes available after the Wonder Cup is decided. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Well, let’s not pretend that Kenzi is only our franchise quarterback, she is still our top defensive players, so that has to figure into whether she stays or goes. VENUS FLYTRAP: Yeah, it figures on how much Deuce gets for her. That’s about it! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Okay, that will do it for this episode of Shots Fired. Tune in next Game Day as your Hit Girls are at home once again to take on the Baltimore Bombshells! Until next time, I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you on the next Game Day!

SHOTS FIRED7/13/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 15 of the LFL regular season between the Baltimore Bombshells and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALBALTIMORE 38 – HIT GIRLS 20 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: The second of the last game of the season was a loss for the Hit Girls against a Baltimore team looking to end their season on a high note as well. The Hit Girls jumped out to an early 14 to nothing lead in the first quarter as Milisandre Crowthorne dashed into the endzone from 2 yards out. With 35 seconds left, Kenzi Grey connected with Roxy Cotton… VENUS FLYTRAP: Best receiver in the LFL! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Stop that! Roxy caught a 15 yard pass as she upped her touchdown tally for the year. That would be the last touchdowns the Hit Girls would get for the rest of the game as Angie Vaughn would add on 2 field goals, remaining perfect and adding to her streak. VENUS FLYTRAP: A tough loss for Cincy, but there were a few other bright spots to talk about on there. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Absolutely! Coda went over 100 yards receiving, coming up just 5 yards behind Roxy. On the defensive side, Bordy really got after the ball, racking up a sack and a forced fumble. Last, and certainly not least, AMC recorded her first ever interception since being moved into her new role. VENUS FLYTRAP: There is one more player we should point out. Cartier totally went off as she piled up offensive blocks! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Cartier put 12 huge blocks on the books and really made a statement for getting a bigger pay check next season…or even getting a better opportunity elsewhere if she decides to pass on Cincy. VENUS FLYTRAP: COME ON MAN! Don’t put that out there…people are watching! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Well, free agency is a real thing. We have already had one early departure late in the season. Amira stepped into the open space and has learned the system quickly, but there has already been interest in her services from other teams. VENUS FLYTRAP: Well, hopeful our new management team will find a way to keep our core team together…for whenever the LFL returns. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: The LFL announced an extended hiatus last week and that left sour taste in a lot of player’s mouths. Now, the LFL promised another update, and that has fans hoping that they won’t have to wait until 2019 to see the start of season 5…but that could just be wishful thinking. VENUS FLYTRAP: Man, what are we going to do with that kind of lay off from football? “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Well, there were rumblings of the start of a soccer league, but it’s just a rumor right now. What isn’t a rumor is the start of Circle Arcade Wrestling, featuring the Hit Girls and others. The players video game avatars will be used in the game system to battle it out for virtual titles. This should be getting underway following the last game of the season. VENUS FLYTRAP: Well…I’ll be playing Roxy Cotton! The best damn receiver in the… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: WELL!! That will do it for this episode of Shots Fired. Tune in next Game Day as your Hit Girls close out the season against the Burn in Arizona! Until next time, I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you on the next Game Day!

SHOTS FIRED7/20/2018 GAME DAY RECAPThe Doctor & Venus review game 16 of the LFL regular season between the Phoenix Burn and The Cincinnati Hit GirlsGAME DAY FINALBURN 7 – HIT GIRLS 17 “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: This season comes to a close and it ends with a 17 to 7 revenge win over the Burn, who defeated the Hit Girls in the first game of the season at home. Cincy controlled the tempo from the start, holding the Burn scoreless for the first three quarters. VENUS FLYTRAP: Yo, the Burn ain’t dead! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Who said that they were? VENUS FLYTRAP: I don't know, I just keep seeing people say that over Twitter, so I assumed that it was a thing. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: ANYWAY! Kenzi Grey hit Trixie and Coda for touchdowns in the second and third quarters of the game. Phoenix found the end zone during the final minute and Cincy stopped the on-side kick attempt to secure the final team win of the season. VENUS FLYTRAP: Our second season comes to a close and now Cincy looks to move in a new direction for next season with a new Head Coach in Deuce Holmes, a Strength and Conditioning Coach in Stephen J. Eversol, and Generic Heel moves to Special Teams Coach. One other unknown is what will happen at the very top with the shift in ownership to Le Bord Dieu and how that will affect things. The one positive I see coming is that Kenzi just played her LAST game as a Hit Girl! Bordy hates Kenzi with a passion, so I am expecting her to get the old ‘Future Endeavors’ post in the next few weeks! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: I certainly hope that isn’t the case. Kenzi has been with this team from the start and she has only wanted one thing, a winning season for the people of Cincy who have faithfully supported the Hit Girls since day one. VENUS FLYTRAP: Well, she can STILL want that winning season for Cincy as she plays for another team! She can go and everyone else can stay and I will be perfectly fine with it! As long as we have Roxy Cotton, the best damn player in the LFL, I know we will be in great shape! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: Stop calling here that! VENUS FLYTRAP: Did you see how she caught that ball and ran to the one yard line, then stopped just to make sure that she got exactly 69 yards on her final catch of the season? AMAZING, RIGHT?! “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: You both have issues! Anyway, that will do it for Shots Fired this season, but Venus and I will be gone completely. With the start up of Circle Arcade Wrestling, we will transform the arena into a gaming palace that will showcase this new game which features all of your favorite Hit Girls and others from around the sport of professional wrestling! VENUS FLYTRAP: You're boys are gonna stay busy until the next season of LFL action rolls around…if and when it does. “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: I'm sure the league office will have some more information on that in the coming weeks. WELL!! That will do it for this episode of Shots Fired. I am The Doctor… VENUS FLYTRAP: …and I’m Venus… “DOCTOR” JOHNNY FEVER: We will see you around!
