Making the Asian Sensation! with Nyako
Raheem walked into Syn’s office, holding an English to Japanese handbook. He looked at Syn, giving her a wink as he spoke; “hanasho jo aru…”
Syn stared at him, not sure what he was trying to say. She arched her brow at him as she corrected; “hanashi ga aru…? It means that you need to speak with me.”
Raheem looked at the book again, then shook his head and stuffed it in his back pocket. “Man…I don’t know if any piece of ass is worth this shit!” He plopped down in the chair across from her desk. “Hey! So…yo’ girl is kinda blowin’ up at th’ moment. I was thinkin’ that maybe we do a little something; more than just the CTN Magazine wit’ her.” He shrugged, “Number one complaint bout yo’ girl…she’s a stick in th’ mud. What if we softened that image a bit…made her a bit more relatable to th’ fans. Think she might be down?”
Syn arched a brow, think he had to be joking. There would be no way Nyako would be down with anytime of promotion. Syn remember hearing the riot act Nyako read her for the cover of CTN Insider Magazine. There would be no way she would go for anything else. She was just like Eva in this sense at the beginning of her association with CTN. Granted the difference being Eva wanted nothing to do wit the company while Nyako just didn’t want them to promote her. She wanted her actions to be promotion enough. But sadly reality didn’t work that way, Syn tried to convey it to her but Nyako was hardheaded. Now with Maleek’s offer, there would be no way in hell she would agree to it.
“My dear Maleek, I think you would have an easier time learning Japanese so you can ‘date’ Serizawa, than you would have convincing Nyako to let herself be promoted by CTN. She’s stubborn, hardheaded, and naive. She thinks her talent in the ring is more than enough to get her noticed. She won’t even join the 21 century and get a twitter account.”
Raheem considered what Syn had said. It was certainly true that Nyako shunned the spotlight, but maybe that was for a different reason than anyone else thought. He stroked his chin, “Check it out girl! Yeah…she be gettin’ it done in th’ ring, no one is doubtin’ that, but she’s still a woman. Every woman as a need to feel…special.”
He started to pace, “Here, case in point! Not too many chicks want to be treated like trash…they want respect and they don’t want to be objectified…unless its by the person that they want to be objectified by!”
Syn gave him a confused look. Raheem sighed heavily. “Wit’ the right encouragement…Nyako will be down, I guarantee. It’s just a matter of findin’ out what makes her tick.” He stopped pacing, “What does she like? Men…women…both?”
“Well I can say as far as I know, what you have will not do the job for her. When I first hired her on she had eyes for me. Nothing ever came of it because I really do not like mixing business with pleasure; you know that from firsthand experience Maleek. “ She said. Her usual sly grin appeared on her face.
“I do know though she did have a brief relationship with her old tag team partner Kitty. Since then though, I have not heard of her being in a relationship or even thinking about one. Hell for all I know she swore off sex and replaced it with all the working out she does.”
It was entirely possible that Nyako really didn’t have any vanity as a woman. Maybe she didn’t care if people didn’t see her for the beautiful woman that she was. Maybe fighting was all that she had or cared about. The photo shoot had gone great for the cover of CTN magazine, but instead of being a sexy geisha, she insisted on a sword and a warrior motif.
He sighed, “Damn…I love a challenge, but you make it look like talkin’ her into this shit is impossible!” He stroked his chin in careful consideration. “You got her workout schedule?”
When Syn gave him a questioning look, he elaborated. “If I call her in here, she gonna be on her guard…like you said. She aint gonna listen to shit that I say. But…if I can holler at her where she’s comfortable…maybe I can get through to her.”
Syn seemed incredulous, but Raheem stuck to it. “Just think about it girl. If I can convince her to get some closer ties with CTN…that’s mo’ money in the bank for her…and for you. Come on now…help a brotha out!”
“If you insist Maleek. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Syn pulled out a piece of stationary and wrote down the info Raheem had asked for. When she was done she held out the sheet of paper for him.
“Mornings may be the best time to catch her off guard. It was how I originally convinced her to do the magazine photo shoot. I wouldn’t hold my breath though Maleek. But who knows, maybe you will prove for once that all this talk about the game you have will actually pay off after the fumbling of the Grey situation.” Sh e said, taking a small jab at him and letting him know she knew at least in some small part of how things blew up on him with Sidney Grey.
He snatched the memo out of her hand, instantly upset at the mention of Sidney. He narrowed his eyes at her, “Sidney Grey can kiss my ass! That damn woman needs her head examined!”
He calmed himself, looking at the memo with times and locations. “This will do.” He glanced at her, “You need to be cheering me on here. Like I said, this benefits you as well! Your stock could rise pretty high, pretty damn quick. Managing another star to a championship?” He shrugged, “Just saying…”
He headed to the door, giving Syn a wink. “Abendyo!” He tried Japanese again, and this time it was worse than when he had entered…not that he bothered to stick around and find out.

Lost in Translation
Raheem walked through the streets of Chinatown testing out his new language skills where he could in the hopes that he would be ready to talk to Sukeban by this weekend. After accepting Aki’s challenge to learn the language in order to earn a date, he had been working hard to take in all that he could. Today was going to be a great test run…or so he thought. Every time he started speaking, the people looked at him as if they had no idea what he was saying.
He pulled out his book and stared at it…making sure that he was getting the syllables right, but still…no luck. As his frustration began to mount, he began to wonder if these people were just screwing with him. Just as his failing efforts were starting to get the better of him, he felt a tap on his shoulder.
He turned around, not sure what he would find, but it was a familiar face that greeted him…
Uzai had been stalking the man for 20-minutes…planning on lifting his wallet at his first opportunity. It wasn’t until he was about to make his move that he realized that he knew the man. He recognized him from television…and from their one-minute meeting outside the trainer’s office several weeks ago, after he had seduced the Head Trainer and convinced him to let his Mistress compete, despite her injuries. This guy was a big fish and Uzai recognized that he could get a lot more out of him than a few dollars and credit cards.
Uzai tapped him on his shoulder, and grinned broadly as he turned around. “Hey! Aren’t you the guy on TV? The rapper guy!” Uzai punched him in the shoulder. “YEAH! You’re him!! What are you doing here? You looking for girls…looking for boys?”
Raheem glared at the man angrily, “NAW MAN! I aint lookin’ fo’ no damn boys!” He gestured around him. “I came down here to try to try talk to th’ people, but they all stupid or somethin’! Pretendin’ like they don’t know what th’ fuck I’m takin’ bout!”
He reached into his back pocket and pulled out the book he had been using. “I been usin’ this shit right here, so I know they fuckin’ wit’ me!”
Uzai took the book out of Raheem’s hand and stared at it. He smirked at Raheem as he held the book up so that he could read the cover. “This book…for make speak Japanese.” He turned and gestured around him. “This…Chinatown…here, CHINESE!”
Uzai laughed as Raheem snatched the book back and shoved it in his pocket, cursing as he did. Uzai put his arm over Raheem’s shoulder. “Why you so interested in learning Japanese?”
Raheem shook his head, “Man…check this out! You know that hot Asian chick on the roster? The new one…Serizawa? Man, that chick is FINE!” He gave a shrug of his shoulders, “Long story, short…I was hollering at her girl Aki on twitter and she told me, if I learned to speak Japanese, she’d set us up on a date.”
Uzai stared blankly at him, but said nothing.
“What?!” He asked, “I mean, come on…you need to hook a brother up! I’m struggling here man!” He looked at Uzai earnestly, “Can you teach me a few phrases? Nothing major, just enough to get me through asking her out. What do you say?”
Uzai contemplated leaving him hanging…but his own interest in the girl was peeked. If he played his cards right, he could use this situation to get closer to her…maybe even speak to her himself. He grinned broadly, “Okay…I help you…but you have to hook me up with Aki, maybe we can go on a double date, eh?”
Raheem grinned, and gave the man a fist bump. “BET! I’ll hook that shit up…” he paused as he recalled his first meeting with the man. “But…errrr, I mean…I saw you in the trainer’s office a couple of weeks ago. I mean…didn’t I see you with a dude?!” He shrugged, “I mean…aint nothin’ wrong with bein’ gay and shit…but Aki? That’s a girl.”
Uzai grinned. “Girls, boys…don’t knock it until you try it.” He motioned for Raheem to follow him. “Come on, you buy me a crab and cheese sandwich…and we’ll get started on that Japanese.” He chuckled, “By the time I’m done teaching you, your eyes are gonna be slanted homie!”
The two headed off as the scene faded to black…

Fighting Battles with Nyako
Hours after the show Nyako still finds herself in the locker room, thinking about the events that transpired tonight. She was happy that she came out the victor in the top contender match for the Marquee Title. Granted it didn’t seem like she was since Kate Steele had to muscle her way into the picture.
Now Nyako kind knew what Salinas felt like. It seemed despite Nyako’s showing, someone else was getting inline to reap the rewards. She could have taken the same tactics like Steele and just attacked Comacho out of the blue to get noticed, but she still believed that if you work hard enough , you’ll get your shot in the end. Granted it didn’t seem to work out that way for her too often, but sometimes things did go her way. Now though she could see what Salinas was talking about.
Despite Nyako’s issues with the woman, and her feelings toward her, at least Salinas didn’t take the easy route. Yeah she was narcissistic, egotistical, self-delusional, self-absorbed, and possibly slightly imbalanced, but he still went about things the right way more or less.
She didn’t come out during Nyako’s and Jennifer Drew’s match and try to take both of them out cause she felt like she was the one who deserved to be the top contender unlike the woman Salinas sometimes reminded her of, Sidney Grey, or even Kate Steele. No, she waited until after the match, well except for her earlier backstage interview that is, but still she waiting until the match was decide before she made her appearance. Even then it was to run her mouth which was something she proved to be very good at.
Salinas said her piece, Nyako said hers, Salinas shot back and they just got into each other’s face. No punches swung, no hair pulled, no faces slapped or guts kicked. It was just two competitors vying for the same thing, trying to psych each other out.
That’s how it should be. Again no matter what issues Nyako may have had with Salinas, she did respect her more than she could Steele, who seemed to think she was entitled for a shot at the Marquee Title after choking against the Doc and losing her World Title. Nyako was sure Comacho would make short work of her though to stop the “hardcore queen” before she got truly started. Then it would just be Nyako against Comacho, then if everything fell in the right place it would Nyako versus Salinas, where Nyako would have a chance to silence possibly for good, or at least prove to her Nyako wasn’t just a fraud.
As Nyako continued to dwell on things, a LAW employee came by looking for Oni, Nyako’s sister.
“She’s not here. What’s going on? I can give her the message if you want.”
It had been close to two weeks since she really talked to Oni since she moved out. Every time she went to contact her sister, something stopped her. She knew it wasn’t right to feel betrayed by her sister since what Oni did was probably for the best for th two of them but still it was something Nyako couldn’t get over right away. But now might b as good as a time as any to try to get back to where she was with her sister. Even if she had to use a message from the LAW management just to do it. It was better than nothing.
The messenger looked unsure about telling Nyako. It wasn’t because it was sensitive information, just the fact that like the reputation her Sister had in the past, Nyako seemed to be challenging the same meaness Oni once had and he didn’t want to end up hirt for beingthe gearer of this news. Still though Nyako was involved in it in a small way so she would find out anyway, he was just hoping he could get her sister to be the one to tll her.
“Um it’s about the next LAW show in Fort Worth, Texas.”
“So what is it?” Nyako said starting to get annoyed by his hesitation. She could tell he wasn’t comfortable with telling her but that only made her more curious to what it was.
“Well you’re on guest commentary on the match Oni hasa with um…”
“For God’s sake tell me already.” Nyako had a suspicion what he was hesitating to tell her.
Before he could get it out though Oni walked in the locker room.
I lit up as soon as I saw Nyako, it had been some time since I had seen her and I was eager to catch up. I ignored the person at the door, even as they attempted to get my attention. I waved them off and rushed over and hugged my sister as if I had not seen her in ages. “CONGRADULATIONS!! I knew that you would win that match…” I pulled my sister back and arched my brow, “…though, I didn’t think you would take such a long time to put her away.” I grinned, relishing in my joke “Old age must finally be catching up with you!”
“Excuse me…Oni. I have a message for you, I…” the person at the door insisted.
I glared at the man, “Please…give us some privacy!” Turning my attention back to Nyako, “I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to make fun, but I am very proud of you. I wish I had been there at ringside…” I paused as I recalled the encounter with Serizawa…the strange look that she had given me…it had left me unsettled, so much so that I had missed my sister’s match…
…she knows something…I know that look when I see it, there is much more to her than a pretty face; we should seek her out…see what it is that she knows…
I ignored my inner voice, it had troubled me long enough for Serizawa. This was a time of celebration and I had no desire to revisit such unpleasantness. Instead, I patted Nyako on the shoulder. “I will be at ringside when you face Camacho for the title. She is a worthy adversary and a good person. She’ll give you a good fight…an honorable one, as she did with me.” My mood darkened as I considered the myriad of foes all jockeying for a shot at what my sister had rightly earned. “I will make sure that the likes of Steele and Salinas keep their distance. If one of them tries something…they’ll regret it!”
Seeing his chance, the man at the door finally blurted out, “You have a match at LAW 15 against Salinas!”
I was stunned by the news…but I relished a challenge…and Gabriella Salinas posed an enormous one. She had wrestled Jennifer Drew in the Queen of the Ring and she had beaten the poor girl so badly that she hadn’t been herself every since. The woman had a brutal reputation for going all out in her matches…to the detriment of her opponents. I smiled, despite this knowledge. I also had a reputation of sorts…and a taste for violence like Salinas was capable of…
…she’ll try to hurt you…if no reason but to send a message to Nyako…that’s something to look forward to, isn’t it…
Maybe…and maybe not, still…the woman represented the cream of the crop. I turned to my sister, unable to erase the grin from my face. “So…it looks like I get to explain things to your new best friend in two weeks. You’re the number one contender…so it would be in her best interest to back off and wait her turn!
Nyako wasn’t sure how to take this news about her sister facing Salinas. On one hand she knew Oni was morethan capable to handle what Salinas would dish out, because Oni could dish out the same. But Salians was still a wild card because she was erratic and ths scared Nyako. Ever since Oni seemed to change for the better, she didn’t have quite that same killer instinct she once had. She knew though she couldn’t tell Oni to back out because it was a matter of pride for her. At least Nyako would be at ring side to stop anything extra happening like Salinas did to Drew in Queen of the Ring.
“Nyako smiled back at her sister. “I honestly don’t think you have to worry about Salinas. We have an understanding of sorts. She stays out of my way until my Marquee Title match. If I should win, then she and I will handle things. I just want you to be careful though. As much as she says she won’t do anything to me before then, I’m not sure she is not above trying to send a message any way she can. Especially if it’s through you.”
I had to admit, the thought did send a thrill through me. I had seen her performance at QotR and even though she had taken things a bit too far…I knew what drove her to such lengths. Sometimes bloodlust took over and then all bets were off. Still…my sister’s concern for me was appreciated.
I nodded at her, “I understand Ny…I’ll be careful about how I play with your new best friend.”
I quickly changed the subject when I saw the serious look on her face. “Maybe you should come over one night this week…see the new place. I finally got some furniture.” I paused, “I mean…if you have time between workouts. I know how you like to stay on top of things.”
Nyako had plans coming up to have a surprise meet with Mallek at Piya’s place this week, but she was sure she still be able to visit with Oni after the,m.
She gave a small smile and nodded at her sister. “I would love to see your new place. I have been busy and I am sorry I didn’t make time to do so before now. But I will make the time in my “busy training regime” to come see you. Besides since I have the show off outside of commentary for your match. I think it’sa good time to take a break from working out. My body has been begging for a breather.”
Nyako knew it was from more than just her intense work out but also her night with Maleek’s agent. It was one reason she didn’t put Drew away as fast as she wanted to.
“When would be good for you? What can I bring? How about some Korean barbeque from the restaurant down the block form my place. You seemed to enjoy it so much when you were staying with me. It will be my housewarming meal to you.””
I couldn’t deny it, the thought of BBQ was tempting, but I had other thoughts in mind. “No…skip the take out, I’d better learn how to cook sometime.” I smirked, I’ll try not to kill you before you make your big debut on commentary.” I smirked a bit, “Besides…I need to treat you right so you don’t trash my skills when I get in the ring. I don’t need you telling the world how bad I suck at wrestling AND cooking!”
I laughed as I threw my arm over Ny and kissed her on the cheek. I had forgotten how good it felt to be with someone who cared so much for me. I felt a slight sadness as I remembered how I felt with our brother, but I pushed those feelings down. That was the past and this was the future…one that I was determined not to screw up.

All Is Revealed... with Nyako
Nyako arrived at the address Priya gave to her the past weekend. She was anxious to get to the bottom of whatever plan Maleek was hatching. She was sure whatever it was she didn’t like it. Usually things involving Maleek didn’t end so well. Yeah he was instrumental in Gabriella Camacho’s exercise DVD set, but it seemed the sales were more for drunken frat boys than actual people who wanted to work out with the former Army chick. Then there was the travesty of Sidney. It seemed as much as he tried to knock her down she always got over on him, in fact Nyako wasn’t sure if this plan of Maleek’s was not hatched by Grey since it seemed she had him by his short and curlies.
Nyako looked over the Brownstone and was surprised to see how well Priya had done for herself. The woman was great in bed but she didn’t think she could afford a place like this. Granted as much as Maleek dabbled around Nyako was sure he wouldn’t be messing with some skanky hood rat but still.
Nyako rung the door bell and knocked on the door, waiting for Priya to answer it. Nyako wasn’t sure how much time she had before Maleek came by but she wanted to get a lay of the land before he arrived and she sprung the surprise on him.
“You’re here.” Priya said with a smile on her face.
Nyako forgot how gorgeous this woman was and stood in the doorway speechless for a moment. She quickly regained her senses before Priya could ask if anything was wrong.
“Yeah, I got to say you got some nice digs. You do well for yourself.” Nyako said with a smirk on her face.
“Yes well a girl can’t live in a rat’s nest. I got to take care of myself since no one else will.” Priya said winking at Nyako before letting her enter.
Nyako walked through the door way and the inside was decorated beautifully in a modern contemporary style. Nyako though about her little Flat and thought it was a nice place, that was until she saw Priya’s home. Priya seemed to live minimalistic like Nyako but unlike Nyako who basically had enough to live somewhat comfortable, Priya had done wonders with her place.
“Man I may need you to deck my place out if you did this here.” Nyako said admiring it.
“Well I can hook you up with the same CTN designers I hooked baby girl up with. Just say the word.” A voice said to Nyako.
Nyako whipped around and saw a muscular, cocoa skinned man sitting on a couch in the living room with a Cheshire type grin on his face and leaning back with his arms wide open.”
“What the fuck is this?!” Nyako said not pleased with the surprise. She thought she would be the one to be able to get the jump on Maleek but instead.
“What the hell is he doing…” Nyako started to ask Priya as she turned back, but saw jno sign of the woman.
Nyako turned her attention back to Maleek and snarled, “What is going on?”
Maleek continued to grin broadly as he assessed Nyako critically. He had to shake his head and chuckle. “Imagine meetin’ you here! I mean…it’s funny how people will just run into each other in th’ most unexpected places.” He kicked back with a sigh. “So…you be diggin’ on Priya, huh? I definitely feel yah’ on that.” He laughed out loud, nodded in her direction. “You and me…we got a LOT in common!”
Maleek slid over and patted the spot next to him. “Why don’t you come on over here and cop a squat so I can holler at cha?” When it seemed that Nyako was merely going to turn and leave, he sighed. “Come on, don’t be salty. I knew I wasn’t gonna get you to just come and holler at me on yo’ own. Come on over and let me get at you.”
"I'm perfectly fine where I am. In fact it is better for the both of us if I remain where I am cause if I get any closer I may have to hurt you for what ever you're planning." She said.
Her arms were folded across her chest as she stood in the doorway in a standoffish pose, conveying to Maleek that it was better if he kept his distance.
"What is going on here Raheem. You better tell me quick or I'm out. Does this have something do with Grey? Are you two conspiring against me?"
Nyako knew she sounded paranoid but when dealing with Grey you never knew what to expect. She attacked her sister twice with out being provoked really, and she was known to just go ballistic on those she felt slighted her. She knew her and Grey would probably have it out sooner or later, but now they seemed to be on different paths or so Nyako thought.
“Grey?” Raheem’s mood soured at the thought of it. He rolled his eyes, “Sidney Grey can go to fuckin’ hell for all I care! That bitch done cost a brotha WAY too much time and effort…and I’m done wit’ her shit! Good riddance!”
He stood up, realizing that Nyako wasn’t going to come into the apartment. Still, he kept his distance. “Look! I’ve been tryin’ to get you to talk to me for weeks…but you don’t return calls or anythin’!” He shrugged, “The Priya thang’ was just a shot in th’ dark…a hunch. I hoped it would get you and I together…and here we are!”
He could see that she was still fuming. “Okay! Let’s just get right into it, shall we? I want to put th’ resources of CTN behind you…we want to make you th’ face of th’ CTN brand.” When he saw the incredulous look on her face, he held up his hands. “I get it…I’m th’ fuckin’ bad guy…and I represent th’ big evil company that wants to fuck you over somehow. I got all that…but you’re a big girl and as long as you got Syn in yo’ corner…I don’t figure on anyone takin’ advantage of you.”
Lacing his fingers, he narrowed his eyes. “I am not proposin’ doin’ anythin’ you don’t wanna do…but I would like to see you go to th’ next level in this business. Take a look at what we have done. Nicky Silver…she’s a fat little nothing, but we promoted her and opened doors that led her to championships.” He chuckled, “You and I both know that she was NEVER World Championship material! That’s th’ power of CTN!”
Nyako’s expression remained unreadable, so he brought out the big guns. “Still not convinced? Okay…right now, at this very moment…you are th’ biggest thang goin’ and I aint even jokin’! I am tellin’ execs left and right that you are th’ one that we should be gettin’ behind…not some old ass fossil like Grey! But do you know what I keep hearin’?” He paused long enough to see that he had peeked her interest. “This is what I hear…’she’s good…but she’s no Eva Rodriguez. Can you get Eva to come back?’”
Raheem shook his head and gave a little chuckle. “Eva? REALLY?! Girl…you are better than Eva EVER was! Yeah…she won a few titles, but lets be honest…she was a big fish in a little ass pond! You have already faced talent WAY better than she ever did!” He sighed, “I know you don’t need CTN to make it in this biz, but hell…why not take every opportunity when you can? You aint gotta be alone in this no more, feel me?”
Raheem had made an impassioned plea to her, even playing on animosity toward Eva. What he didn’t realize was that he might have touched on something else when he made referenced to her being alone. Though he was privy to a great deal of dirt on all the women of LAW, he wasn’t aware of the fact that in recent days Nyako had been feeling more and more isolated from her sisters as they moved in different directions.
Maleek’s word struck tii close too home for Nyako. The remarks about Eva did spark a fire in her, and despite whjat Raheem had said, she wouldn’t minimize the accomplishments of the Latina. As far as Nyako was concerned she was a measuring stik for her. But Maleek throwing shade on Eva’s career did kind of make Nyako feel a bit more at ease with him.
The comment about being alone though hit her to the core. She tried to ignore the fact she felt isolated from Oni and SoLo as of late and even put on a brave face when she had seen Oni earlier in the week after the last LAW show, but still she felt so alone. She had spent most of her recent years alone but even having her family as close as there were for th short time made her realize how much she hated being by herself.
“What is this plan you have.” She asked.
She was reluctantly open to his suggestions shince he hit such a chord with her. Unlike Eva in the past wh really wanted nothing to do with CTN, Nyako wasn’t the same way. It was just a matter of fact she had nevr had anything to offer them so they paid her no attention, and up until recently she was fine wit hthat. Even now she was still ok if they didn’t do much to promote her cause she didn’t want to be put too high on a pedestal and falter when things mattered most. The words Salainas said during the last show played in hr head. Did Nyako choke at the big moments? Yeah she beat Drew but still. What would she do when fcing Comacho? Did she deserve this much press if in the end she was going to choke?
She couldn’t think that way though. It was mind games Salinas was playing with her and she was startignto feed into it. Hell as much as she might have not trusted Raheem, he did know his stuff, and he wouldn’t but trying to promote her if he didn’t think it was worth it. But it still begged to know, did he have ulterior motives?
“What are you getting out of this?” She asked him before he could answer her first question.
As Nyako asked the question, he couldn’t help but to put on a shit-eating grin. “Besides gettin’ to spend time in yo’ fine ass company?” His grin disappeared, just as quickly as it appeared. “I aint gonna bullshit you, since I know you appreciate th’ truth. I makin’ moves in CTN…doin’ what I can here and there, but I need to turn heads if I’m gonna blow up like a brotha needs to. If you are the star that I think you are gonna be and I can push you proper…you reach that next level, quick, fast, and in a hurry…” he put his hand on his chest, “…God willin’ I blow up too!”
He walked over to the fridge and opened it up, pulling out two beers. He popped the top on them and sat one at the table for her while he sat down, assuming that she would join him. “You want success…and you don’t need me to get it. Hell! You got skills…no one in LAW or CTN denies that. You made it this far without anyone doin’ anythin’ for you…but I think you can go farther wit’ the resources at my disposal.” He took a long pull off the beer, then continued. “Merchandisin’ and brandin’ is gonna get yo’ name mentioned up there where it should have been from th’ jump! Shit! Yo’ first match in th’ company and you beat th’ number one contender for th’ LAW Title. You beat th’ bitch again a few weeks ago…but why aint you mentioned in th’ same breath as Evie Taylor? Why in th’ fuck is Sid main eventin’ over and over?” He smiled, “…advertisin’ and brandin’ by LAW and by CTN. If you had it proper…you’d be way fuckin’ bigger than you are right now! You know you deserve to be…all you have to do is let yo’ boy step in and make shit happen.”
He shrugged, “I apologize for th’ way that I got you here, but on th’ real, if you have a thought in that pretty little head of yours that I ain’t bein’ real wit’ ya’…you can walk out that door and I won’t bother you again.” He watched her, then he gestured to the empty seat and the cold beer he had put out for her. “I think you know I ain’t as full of shit as everyone thinks, and I believe that you know I’m tellin’ you straight…”
Nyako contemplated for a second. He did make a lot of sense and for the first time at least as long aas she knew him, he did sound sincere in what he said.
She walked over and snatched up the beer, and plopped down ina seat across from him. She unscrewed the top and took a pull from the bottle.
“At least your girl got decent taste in beer.” She said.
She sat up in the chair and leaned forward with te bottle hanging from her hand between her legs and she leveled a look at him. “What’s the game plan Raheem. What do you need me to do. So far you got my interest, but so help me god if you try to screw me over I won’t be responsible for what happens to you. You think the shit my sister pulled back in 3WL was some fucked up shit. I’ll make it look like child's play if you cross me.”
She gave him a shit eating grin before taking another drink from her bottle. She wasn’t sure where this would lead her but for now she would go along for the ride.

Dillard's Gym Soho, New York 25 September 2014
I’d come to the gym to get a workout in with my sister before my big match with Gabriella Salinas, a woman that I really have no real sense of animosity for. I don’t agree with her views or all of her actions, but in the ring…the girl can certainly go. There has been a lot of talk about Salinas being a bit of a hot head…being a hard to control in the ring…possibly being diagnosis with NPD. I don’t know about any of that…I don’t care if it is true or not, but to be honest…I really hope that it is.
No one in LAW relishes competition like me…no one in LAW wants the fight to be brought to them the way that I do. My sister comes close…but in the end, I would like nothing better than a knock down, drag out, fight! Salinas will give it to me…she will be ready to tear the house down and bleed…her blood, my blood…it doesn’t matter. I want to be the best, so I want to take on the best. Salinas is a HUGE step up…and I want to see what she can do.
I wish that I could concentrate on her…but my mind was elsewhere at the moment. Every since I had run into Serizawa backstage at LAW, I had any uneasy feeling that I couldn’t shake. It wasn’t that I knew her…but I had the distinct impression that she knew me. No…not like she had seen me around, but she had seen ME…my other face…the one that I had been working so hard to distance myself from. Was she Yakuza? She didn’t have the look…but that meant very little these days. Maybe paranoia was starting to take hold while I served my time in exile from the clan.
I didn’t want to spend time thinking about my old life or wondering about the ghosts that might pop up at any moment, looking to take everything that I worked so hard for away from me. I had come to LAW to make a fresh start…there would be no return to the way things were for me. I had reconnected with my sister and my life was turning around. I had found another sister in SoLo and with her help I had hope that this change would be lasting and I would never have to worry about what demons would appear to take it all away…
…funny, you worry about demons from your past when the only one that really matters is the one inside you; life would be so easy if you just let it out…all of this whining and angst is boring…
Maybe I liked boring…compared to my life before, this was a much nicer existence, I finally…
“HEY! YOU DONE IN THERE?”
Roused from my thoughts, I looked over and saw a pair of young men walking up to the makeshift ring that I stood in. I leaned against the turnbuckle, glancing up at the clock to check the time before looking back down at the two. “Got another hour and a half…sorry. My sister will be here in a few minutes.”
The man who had spoken, was well built with a deep tan and dark dreadlocks tucked underneath a hoodie. He hopped up on the ring apron and fixed me with his dazzling dark eyes. “You’re in there all by yourself…are you really going to hog the ring like this for that long?”
“Yeah!” the other man spoke up. I looked at him, he was considerably less attractive than his friend. His hair was a blonde matted mess and his pale complexion was only broken by a series of blight red ache. He hopped up onto the apron, with much less grace than his friend. “Why don’t you let us in there so we can roll around and work on some things, at least until this sister of yours shows up.”
I considered telling them ‘no’ but there was no sense in my staying there and doing nothing. I shrugged as I moved to leave the ring, but the man with the ponytail stopped me.
“Hang on…” he said, grabbing my arm and smiling at me, but it was a predator’s smile. I knew it well, I has seen it a great many times in the mirror. He looked at my exposed right shoulder and back…examining my tattoos. “That’s some nice artwork you got there. Where did you get it?”
…this one wants to play with us…
My first instinct was to pull away from him…I didn’t want his hands on me, but a part of me enjoyed it…a very dark part of me. I didn’t pull away, instead I stared right back at him. “I didn’t get it…its irezumi…it’s earned.”
His grip didn’t loosen, it only tightened as he looked at my arm, turning it back and forth as he nodded. “Hand poked?” his eyes found mine again. “You must be pretty tough…getting poked that many times, huh?”
…he’s a crass one, isn’t he, maybe there’s a lot of fun games that we could play together…
I knew that I shouldn’t have encouraged him, but the distraction was intoxicating. My eyes narrowed ever so slightly. “Maybe I’ll get poked a few more times before it’s all said and done.” I cocked my head to the side, “Do you…poke?”
As soon as the words left my mouth, I regretted it…this was like opening your door to peek at the coming windstorm and then having it blown open, ripped from your grasp. However…in my case, I wasn’t scared of what would come charging in…I was worried about what would come barreling out.
The man gave a cock-sure grin as he brazenly raked a few strands of hair from my face. “Baby…no one pokes as good as me.” He looked me up and down, making his intentions very clear.
His friend hopped into the ring, “Come on Kreese…stop trying to get in that chick’s pants and let’s roll around!”
The man, whose name was apparently Kreese, gave his friend a decidedly annoyed look. “Hey…I’m talking over here…fuck off pussy!” He turned back to me, his demeanor changing once more. “Like I was saying I…”
Before he could finish, his pale friend reached over and smacked him on the back of his head. “I SAID LET’S ROLL AROUND BITCH!” The man laughed as he bounced around nimbly inside the ring.
Kreese finally released his grip on my arm, the look on his face going to extreme annoyance. “Hang on.” He stepped into the ring with his friend and threw up his hands. “Okay…you ready?”
His friend threw his hands up as well, but as he did, Kreese unleashed a vicious kick to his midsection that doubled him over. Kreese wasted no time locking the man into a kimora arm lock. The pale man struggled, but it was no use, the hold was in too deep. “Tap out bitch, or I will break your arm off and beat you with it!”
…break it…how satisfying would that be right now; you know you want to hear the sound it makes when it snaps…
I couldn’t deny it…I really did want to hear it break, but that wasn’t who I was anymore…at least…it wasn’t who I wanted to be. I stepped inside the ring and put my hand on Kreese’s back. “I think he gets it.”
For a moment Kreese stares at me and something passes between us…but I don’t readily identify it. I see him give the man’s arm one last crank, just to make him squeal one last time…then he lets him out. “Get outta here, pussy!”
The man rolls out of the ring, cursing and swearing. “FUCK DUDE! YOU ALMOST BROKE MY DAMN ARM!! SON-OF-A-BITCH!!” He glared at Kreese and then at me, then back to his ‘friend.’ “If I can’t compete this weekend…I’m telling Terry that you fucked my arm up over some Japanese cunt!”
…see, you should have let him break his arm…
Kreese stared at the man, and he finally turned and stormed off, still holding his arm. He looked down at me and smirked, “Sorry about that…Steve is an asshole.”
I shrugged, “It’s okay…I’m not a Japanese cunt…I’m Korean…” I paused, “…not sure if I am a cunt or not though.”
He laughed, “Well…maybe you’ll let me find out one of these days.” He looked towards the exit and saw Nyako coming in with SoLo and Kenzi in tow. He nodded towards them. “That your gang over there?”
I nodded, “Yeah…my sisters and a friend…I think.”
He looked back at me. “Guess I missed my chance to roll around with you today. Maybe another time?”
I shrugged, “Maybe another time.”
He started to walk away, then turned back. “You like fighting…like MMA type stuff? You should come out with me one night to The Pit…check it out.”
…oooooooooh, The Pit…I like the sound of that, I bet it’s dark and there’s lots of criminal activity there…our kind of place…
“Give me your number” he asked, “…I’ll send you an invite and you can see me kick some ass over there.”
“What if I want to kick a little ass?” I tossed back.
He laughed and nodded with a slight smirk on his face, “Leave your number at the front desk for me…errrr…name?”
“Oni…” I paused, “…or Kymiku” I added.
He narrowed his eyes and nodded, “Oni…I like that.” He looked me up and down as he stepped through the ropes and gave a wink. “I’ll send you an invite.” He hopped down off the apron and headed towards the exit. As he passed Nyako and the girls he acknowledged them, “Hi, Oni’s sisters and friend.”
Nyako stopped and turned to watch the man leave, staring at him in a decidedly overprotective way. She turned on her heel and headed into the ring, rolling in under the ropes and giving me a disapproving look. “Why are you talking to that guy? Kreese is a first class asshole!”
I should have known that she would be familiar with everyone here. I shrugged, “He wanted to talk…and I was here waiting.”
Nyako narrowed her eyes as she began stretching, her eyes never leaving mine. “He’s a macho asshole who hits on everything! He and his friends are complete thugs and I want you to stay away from him!”
…well, I don’t know about you, but my panties just instantly got wet; I think I’m in love…
I sighed, starting to stretch out as well. “What are you…my mother?” As soon as I said it, I instantly regretted it…our tragic past being what it was. I could see by the look on her face that she also thought the statement was in poor taste. Fortunately, we were interrupted by SoLo and Kenzi joining us in the ring.
SoLo was her usual overly happy self, but I could tell by the way Kenzi regarded me that she wasn’t particularly keen on my presence. I could understand how she felt, our previous meetings had been…awkward. My fascination with her had been apparent…maybe bordering on creepy, but I had those feelings in check now…
…from your lips to God’s ears…may he strike you down dead as a liar; she’s just the way we like them…
Correction, Kenzi was just the way my brother liked them. His tastes gravitated towards women like her…he would have found her irresistible. As for me…I understood his attraction. Still, I endeavored to do better now that I was committed to being a better sister…especially to her best friend, SoLo.
Attempting to break the ice, I spoke up. “Ms. Grey, first of all…congratulations again on the movie role. I know that you will be superb in it.” She gave me a curt, but polite smile and nod, but not much more than that…
…stuck up cunt; you should give her moogle-ass a good fisting to loosen her up…
‘What in the hell is a moogle?’ I thought to myself, then pushed it aside. “So…Song tells us that this role requires you to display some fighting prowess.” I nodded towards my sister, “You’d be hard pressed to find a better teacher here than Ny.”
This seemed to get her attention and loosen her tongue finally. “Yes…they have a few stunt doubles, but I’d really like to work out a few things on my own for the close up shots.”
SoLo added, “Ms. Grey is too busy to show her anything.”
Nyako chuckled, “I doubt that she could show anyone anything that didn’t reside at the bottom of a liquor bottle.” When Kenzi gave her a glance, Nyako smiled, “No offense…”
Looking to cut any further tension I stepped in. “Well…we can’t have you showing up on set without a few moves in your arsenal. Maybe we could start by showing you some simple throws.” I stepped towards her and she immediately turned to Nyako.
“Would you mind showing me?” She gave me a nervous look, “I’m just more comfortable with Nyako. I…I hope you don’t mind.”
It felt like a punch to the gut…though I knew I had earned if for the way I had looked at her and even touched her before. I had found it hard not to…but I had those urges under control now. Apparently, it was too little too late. I tried to put on a smile, though I could tell that everyone could see that it had affected me. When Ny and Song tried to chime in, I quickly waved them both off. “No! It’s fine Ms. Grey…so long as you get what you need, that’s my only concern.” I glanced up at the clock, “Besides, I have to leave early today anyway…appointments!” It wasn’t technically a lie…but I had more than a few hours before my first session with Dr. Kazama.
I excused myself from the ring. “You guys be careful in there…okay?”
I turned and bolted before anyone could call me back. I was embarrassed by Kenzi’s reaction, but I knew that I had earned it. I had hoped I could keep my more base instincts to myself today…but in truth, maybe it was best that she kept her distance. This was yet another example of how my demons would never allow me to be free. I knew for a fact that I wouldn’t be able to resist laying my hands on Kenzi…no matter what I told myself. Some temptations were too strong for me right now…
…some needs aren’t bad when you satisfy them…
Before I even realized what I was doing, I found myself in the middle of penning my phone number for Kreese. I stopped just short of handing it to the front desk attendant as I remembered all of the things that my sister had told me about him. He was bad news…and I should stay away from him. She was probably right about that. If I was going to become a better person…I would have to learn how to say no to certain addictions.
Though it gave me physical pain to do it, I tore up the note and tossed it in the trash…
…you are the world’s biggest pussy right now; a big fat dry one…
Maybe I was…but this was one more day that I had managed to keep my demons in check. I would save the rest for my meeting with Gabriella Salinas inside the ring. I could be what I was in there and no one would judge me…I only hoped that I would make it that long before my urges became too strong to resist.

Working Through Your Issues with Nyako
DILLAR'S GYM Soho, New York 25 September 2014
Kenzi felt badly about running Oni off, but the fact of the matter was that she found the way the woman looked at her and touched her to be creepy. She had no idea what the woman was really like, but the videos she had seen of her had been unsettling, to say the least. Though it seemed that the woman had changed her ways, she had no intention of letting her guard down. She just hoped that Nyako would forgive her.
“Ny…I’m sorry if I offended your sister. I…I just don’t feel comfortable around her.” She wrapped her arms around herself. “I seriously don’t mean to be an asshole or anything…but she’s not really known for being a particularly good person.”
Kenzi glanced out of the ring and nodded at SoLo who was standing by ringside, just out of earshot. “If you aren’t comfortable with this…just let me know. I completely understand.”
Nyako took measure of Kenzi. The young woman had a right to be weary of her sister. It wasn’t too long ago Nyako felt the same way about oni, but she felt her sister had turned over a new chapter in her life. The problem was she was still paying for the things she had done in the past. The reaction by Kenzi was not uncommon by people who had seen what Oni was capable of doing, but those who actually spent time with her saw she was trying hard to over come that image. Nyako hoped in time Kenzi would be one of those that would see her sister as she was now and not what she had been. That wouldtake time though and right now Nyako was here to train the young Grey.
“I’m not going to pretend I do not know what you are talking about Ms. Grey, because it wasn’t too long ago I was the same. But I do hope in time you will see Kymiku is not the person she once was. I think proof of it was the fact she did not make a scene of what had happened.”
Nyako stretched a little, getting a bit loose before bouncing back and forth on her feet getting ready to grapple with Kenzi.
“But seeing as you are here to not make friends, but to be trained for your movie stunts. I think we should get right to it.”
Nyako motioned for Kenzi to come at her. She saw the young woman reluctant and timid to do so, but seemed to psyche herself up to make an attempt. Seconds later, Nyako was helping her off the mat after performing a judo throw on her.
“Sorry, I was just seeing where we would have to start from and it looks like from the beginning. Are you sure you don’t want a stunt double instead?”
Nyako wasn’t trying to be condescending to Kenzi despite it coming off that way, but she wasn’t sure if she had enough time to toughen up the young woman and at least lay a foundation down.
“Ny don’t be so mean!” SoLo said as she watched from the outside of the ring.
She chided her sister before looking at Kenzi sympathetically.
“I’m sorry, Nyako had never been one for tact. She’s a bit too blunt for her own good.” She said, trying to reassure Kenzi.
Kenzi dusted herself off after the throw that had taken her by surprise. Nyako was impressive, but she had to admit that she was also slightly distracted by their conversation. “Okay! Yeah, that was tight. If you could teach me to do that…and maybe some kicks and punches, that would be good enough. I don’t want this movie to look cheesy…so if there is a stunt that I can do, I want to do it.”
Nyako nodded and took her slowly through the judo toss again and then a third time. They switched positions and Kenzi tried it herself…with less than stellar results. Nyako corrected her and as they went through the motions, Kenzi struck up the conversation again. “So…do you really think that Oni is done…with all that stuff in the past? I mean…I wasn’t just worried for myself…but for my mom as well, I’m sure you can understand.”
“No offense, but if my sister went after your mother, she’d have it coming to her and rightfully so.” Nyako said as she continued to grapple with Kenzi.
“Oni had to hold me back from going after her though. If that’s not an indication she hadn’t changed I don’t know what is. She is a different person.”
Nyako wasa bit agitated by the mention of Sidney Grey. Deep down she had wanted Oni to at least do something about or too Grey for attacking her twice. The second time surely unprovoked. But instead Oni took the higher road and did not do anything. If it had been Nyako, she would have torn into her the next time she saw her. Then again this was also the more aggressive side of Nyako that had been rearing it’s ugly head since joining LAW.
“I know she is you’re mother, but I do not understand how you can stand up for her or even defend her for the actions she has done to many people since being in LAW. I heard about what happened on the set of the movie and how she treated you. Yet here you are scared for her. It just boggles the mind honestly.”
Kenzi managed to throw Nyako finally, with a terrific effort and a bit of anger mixed in. Kenzi stood over Nyako, “That’s my mother we are talking about! I mean…I don’t know if your mother is still alive or not…but you don’t turn your back on the woman that gave birth to you!”
Kenzi shook her head as she headed to the corner and leaned there. “I know my Mom isn’t a good person, but that is no reason to just give up on her and kick her to the curve!” Kenzi paused as she thought about what she had just said and how much this could apply to Oni. She sighed, “Wow…I mean, I guess that is why you are willing to see Oni differently than any one else sees her.
"Yeah I guess your right. But I think you'll have harder time convincing me Grey is redeemable in any way. Nut who knows Kymiku had a change so it might not be impossible for a leopard to change their spots."
Nyako had SoLo hand her a towel, then one to Kenzi so they could wipe some of the sweat off themselves. Nyako watch Kenzi start to towel off a bit and her mind wondered a bit bit as she took in the young woman. She had to shake her self out of the daze before Kenzi or SoLo took notice.
She cleared her throat. "I got to say Grey needs to realize how lucky she is to have a kid like you...and Song too that is, both of you still have her best interest despite her not appreciating it." Nyako didn't know what had came over her as some lustful thoughts of Kenzi crept into her mind.
Kenzi noticed the strange look that Nyako had given her and she felt even worse about her treatment of Oni. She walked over and put her hand on Nyako’s shoulder. “Look…I’m sorry for being an asshole to your Sis. I should have known better than that. You have been real cool to me and my girl, So…” she smiled, “…if you say Oni is good peoples I shouldn’t question it.”
She looked at SoLo, “Maybe next time we head out clubbing we need to take your sisters with us.” She looked at Nyko and gave a wink, “You down? To roll with us one night?”
Again the thought crept into Nyako's mind. This time of Kenzi, moving rhythmically to an unknown beat. The young woman, gyrating undulating teasingly in Nyako's mind. Nyako's heart started to beat a bit faster. She honestly did not know why these feeling were coming over her since for the longest she had not hought about sex. Maybe it was because of the previous weekend with Maleek's 'gift' that triggered Nyako to feel he urge she had long forgotten.
"Um sure, yeah that sounds great. You give us a time and date and me an Kymiku will be there. I'm sure she's like a chance to cut loose also."
Nyako said. She smiled at Kenzi who returned it back to her and it just did something to Nyako. She quickly turned away from her trying not to show her embarrassment.
"Why don't we continue on with a few more holds." She said looking away.
What am I doing, she thought to herself. No way I should be thinking about her in this way. Especially since she's Grey's kid.
As they began to train again in earnest she felt a lot better about her chances of making a good impression on the movie’s producer. While she was by no means on par with Nyako, she felt like she could be one day if she worked hard. Maybe Nyako would be willing to teach her how to really fight…then maybe…
She shook her head to perish the thought. That wasn’t her world. Her mother had a thirst for in ring competition, but she didn’t have the same animalistic drive. Everyone in LAW had it and Nyako had it in spades. She had a killer instinct that was both frightening and exciting. If she hadn’t gotten to know her better, she would have thought that the woman was a total asshole.
All things being equal, she was glad to count the woman among her friends…even though she still seemed to have some serious issues with her mother. Maybe in time, she could help them both work through their hatred of one another…it was worth a shot…

Just What The Doctor Ordered (Mature Themes)The Pit Underground Location 1 October 2014
I walked into The Pit…a stranger in a strange land. The name was slightly misleading, I had expected a cave of some sort or maybe even a crudely dug hole in the ground, but that is not at all what this was. It was a legitimate venue with a ring and stands to go with it. However, the element that inhabited The Pit would have been well-suited in a cave or hole in the ground. The smell of sweat was heavy in the air…but so was the smell of blood. It lingered, likely undetectable to most others, but I smelled it there and it trilled me…
…and you say that I never take you anywhere fun…
The bodies were nearly elbow to elbow, but they parted easily enough for me. I didn’t have the look of the rest of the women who were there…though few and far between. I ignored the looks, most curious and some wanton. As I passed, someone grabbed at my ass, but I swatted the offending hand away.
“GODDAMN BABY!” Someone yelled out.
I didn’t even bother to turn around as I found what I was looking for. I pushed my way through the crowd to get the best view that I could of the ring as I saw Kreese there. His long dreadlocks hung down, brushing his bare heavily muscled back and chest as he nimbly bounced back and forth. I recognized his Capoeira style, and though it looked more like a dance, I could see that he hardly intended to entertain his opponent with fancy footwork like Kevin Bacon from Footloose.
Across the ring from him stood a mountain of a man, but I could see that was all there was to him. Size and power were his only weapons, though against the unskilled, it was more than enough. He would win any test of strength without question, but this was no test…nor was it a game…
…maybe he’ll crush his skull like on Game of Thrones, that guy really got moogled…
Again with the moogle? What in the hell is a moogle?!
As soon as the two men were loosed on one another, the large man rushed in, looking to get his hands on Kreese, but he easily evaded the giant and hit him with a dazzling flurry of spinning and twisting kicks that dazed him. Rather than press the advantage, Kreese stood back, playing to the crowd, and frustrating his opponent. The man rushed him again, but Kreese went low and took his legs out, sending the man face down on the mat. He rolled over the man’s back, paint brushing his head to further humiliate him.
The fans loved it and Kreese continued his taunting antics for several more minutes, delaying the end…at least until his eyes found me watching him from the crowd. The distraction cost him a sledgehammer-like punch to the jaw that sent him crumbling to the mat, but when the giant attempted to finally press his advantage, he found himself hopelessly outmatched as Kreese immediately caught him in a gogopata chokehold. The massive man struggled to break free, but even his great strength was no match for Kreese superior technique. The man was choked unconscious and the referee was forced to physically pull Kreese off him.
I watched as his hand was raised in victory and the crowd threw up a massive roar, but I hardly heard any of it. My eyes were locked on his and his was locked on mine. As he exited the ring he was greeted by his people and his fans, but he waved them away, making a beeline towards me. As he reached me, a woman stepped between us, throwing her arms around him and kissing him as she squealed.
Her voice was smoky in the way that men found sexy and there was a slight Spanish accent that I myself found sexy as well. “THAT WAS GREAT BABY!! YOU REALLY KICKED THAT GUY'S FUCKING ASS!!”
…cock blocking bitch, looks like someone else is going to get choked out tonight…
I folded my arms and arched my brow as I watched the woman mark her territory. She was dazzling, very shapely and certainly appeasing to most everyone that laid eyes on her, but a little more desperate than she needed to be. Kreese was nice enough to look at, but she could have done better with a little more effort and a little desperation.
Kreese seemed thrown off by the new arrival and I could see it on his face that he wasn’t sure how to address this new wrinkle. He considered just walking away with the girl, and avoiding the situation all together, but that wasn’t what the doctor had ordered. Dr. Kazama told me that I should explore this part of myself. Bottling up everything wasn’t healthy…
…everyone needs a release, even Nuns masturbate…they just think about God when they do it…
I have NO idea where any of this stuff comes from. I pushed those thoughts to the back of my mind and spoke up. “Kreese, you looked pretty good out there tonight…except for all the showboating that got you socked in the jaw. Maybe you should keep your eyes on your work.”
The girl turned around, assessing me with a furled brow. “Excuse you!” She glared at me, then looked at Kreese. “Baby, who is this bitch?”
…I think he is sweating more now than he was in his match, fucking hilarious…
“Errrr…this is…this…” he stuttered, unsure of how to answer the question.
“Oni…we met in the gym a few days ago.” I answered, letting him off the hook. “He invited me to come see the fights…so here I am.”
She looked me up and down, measuring me then decided she needed to take it to the next level, just in case. She got in my face. “Don’t think you are going to come in here and talk a bunch of shit and try to push up on my man. Maybe you need to get your ass back to the rice patty or Chinatown, or wherever the fuck you come from!”
…oh my god, you should punch her right in the tits, that would be hilarious…
Though the thought of getting physical with her did have some allure, I opted for a different tact. I had taken every inch of her in and I could see the bruises she tried to cover up on her neck and arms. This made my course of action crystal clear. Instead of backing off, I moved even closer to her; “Come on…he’s a big boy…enough of him to go around for both of us I’m sure.”
The woman lashed out with a vicious slap, but I caught it before it could connect, shocking her with my speed. I lowered my head, narrowing my eyes. “Getting yourself all painted up to come down here and hang out with this crowd really ups your street cred back home…but I doubt a broken nose is going to go over as well. So, ask yourself…are you sure about this?”
I could see the confusion in her face as she felt my hot gaze on her and the strength in my grip as I held her wrists. She didn’t know what to do, but I yanked her towards me and whispered in her ear…something secret, just between the two of us. When I let her go, she stumbled back and nearly fell down as the crowd that watched the scene screamed for a fight. She stared at me for a moment too long, then finally flipped me off and pushed her way through the people that surrounded us…
…so, no broken noses tonight…this is becoming extremely boring…
“PIA!!” Kreese called out, but the girl was gone.
I folded my arms, looking at him with the slightest cock of my head. “Have you even heard of the adage about a bird in the hand being worth two in the bush?”
He looked at me stupidly, then stroked his chin nervously as he laughed. “Yeah…but…Pia is a little hotheaded sometimes.” He glanced in the direction she had gone, “I don’t want her out there acting up!”
I smiled, “You didn’t seem to concerned about it when we were at the gym the other day.”
He turned his attention back to me and gave a shrug, “That was the other day…and you didn’t leave your number. I figured that you weren’t interested.”
I returned the shrug with one of my own, “I wasn’t interested then…but today I am.” I nodded towards the ring, “Watching you in there made me a little hot as well…but it had nothing to do with my head.”
I could see his demeanor suddenly change as he realized that this visit was going to be more fruitful than our first meeting. “Is that right?” He nodded in the direction that Pia had disappeared. “What about my girl?”
I chucked, my dark eyes drinking him in. “I told her what this was. She’s the one with the problem, not me.”
Kreese took my hand and led me through the crowd. I could feel how anxious he was, but I was even more anxious than he was. I was going to finally cut loose a bit. I had been holding this part of me in for a very long time…and I was looking forward to the release, I only hoped that he was up to the task.
We left the arena through the back door, surrounded by darkness…certainly not my part of town. Anything could happen to a girl in a place like this…it probably had. The very thought of it should have terrified me, but it only drove my need closer to the edge of no return. As we got to the parking lot neither of us was in a mood to wait very much longer. I stopped walking, and because my hand was in his he came to a stop with a jerk. He turned and looked at me, wondering if I had suddenly lost my nerve.
I pushed him against a nearby car and in an instant our hands were all over each other. His large strong hands found places that hadn’t been touched in ages, but like a sun kissed flower I opened up to him all the same. I felt his hand in my hair, then he made a fist and yanked me back, turning me roughly around and pushing me back against another parked car. There was pain…but pain was my drug of choice and I could see that he enjoyed feeding my addiction.
He lifted me with ease and perched me on a nearby car…
“HONK! HONK! HONK! HONK!”
We jumped as the alarm sounded, but the distraction was momentary. Nothing was going to stop us for long. Kissing and more touching…groping…scratching. After a while I didn’t know up from down or right from left. I was pressed, face first against the hood of a parked car and the world was exploding in a kaleidoscope of sound and color. My eyes fluttered and nearly closed as I bit my lower lip, trying hard not to pass out.
I grabbed the hood of the car, struggling to hold on. As I threw back my head I saw faces in the backseat of the car watching us in a mix of shock and excitement. I didn’t shrink from it…I smiled and stared right back at them, even as the girl picked up her phone and pointed it at us, no doubt recording our antics. I had no intention of hiding this…my true face…
…there she is…there’s my girl; welcome back to the world…
A while later I sat in the passenger seat of Kreese’s car in silence as I leaned my head against the window, watching the lights of the city pass by. I was lost in my own thoughts, ignoring him as he continued to bitch and moan about the key marks all over his car. Apparently Pia had not gone quietly into the night…that was something we certainly had in common, though I am sure that her screams and mine were driven by different forces. I smiled, posting my foot up on the dashboard, further antagonizing him. “COME ON DUDE! GET YOUR FEET OFF MY SHIT!!” He yelled at me, then slapped my leg down. “You fucking up my ride!” I turned to him, “Are you sure that’s all you want fucked up?” I made sure that my eyes left no doubt about the meaning behind my words. He stared at me, taking his eyes off the road for what seemed an impossibly long time. Had it not been for the scream, he would have never looked up and saw the man that had to jump back on the sidewalk to avoid being run over. Kreese jerked the wheel and narrowly avoided racking up points GTA style. He shook his head, “That’s twice you distracted me!” I posted my foot back up on his dashboard, not caring about his earlier warning. “I’m hoping to go for at least three…assuming you can handle it.” He was angry as he looked at me with my feet on what had once been his pride and joy, but the promise of taking it all out on me later was equally trilling. He turned his focus back to the road, “So…you some kinda big deal wrestler, huh?” I turned to him, surprised. “You looked me up? I don’t know if I should be flattered or not.” He smiled, “Don’t be flattered…the internet doesn’t say nice stuff about you.” I smirked, even in this; I couldn’t completely avoid my past. I had tried my best to be a good person…or at least a better one. I had come to the defense of people who needed it and I had changed my life for the better…still…it wasn’t good enough. People still judged me for my past deeds…as evidenced by Kenzi’s reaction to me at the gym the previous day. My reputation was a curse…and I would have to live with it until my dying day it seemed. He asked, after I failed to respond to him about his internet crack; “So…that wrestling stuff…is it real?” “How real is real…?” I didn’t bother to look at him as I answered absently. He grinned, “That’s not a good answer.” “Ask a better question” I countered. “Fair enough.” He returned, and then launched into a new set of questions. “So, what’s up with the blonde chica? That Gabriella Salinas chick that you are suppose to fight this weekend?” He licked his lips and made a loud smack. “She’s pretty tasty looking, but I heard she snapped on a few bitches.” He looked at me, as he asked, “You scared?” This was a far better question and it certainly warranted consideration. When I answered the question, I didn’t know if he would get the true meaning behind my words, but I didn’t care either. “I’m always scared…every time.” This was true, but my fear was not what would be done to me…so much as what I might do. He likely didn’t understand that, but I had no intention of explaining it to him. It wasn’t important to me and neither was he. I stretched, “…and yes, she does seem tasty as well.” He laughed, but that ended our conversation for the remainder of the drive, and that was okay with me. We arrived at his place a short time later, and by then I was more than ready to continue where we left off earlier in the parking lot. As we walked to the door, he stopped and cursed under his breath. The door was ajar and we could already see that his place was in shambles. He pushed the door open and stepped inside and I could see that his anger level was off the charts. “THAT BITCH! I’M GONNA KILL HER!” “Are you going to cry about this the rest of the night? If you are, I can leave.” I said as dispassionately as I could. He whirled on me, his eyes blazing with anger. “You don’t want to piss me off right now! This is your fault anyway!” I laughed out loud, right in his face to elicit the desired response…and he certainly responded. He put his hand around my neck and shoved me back against the wall with a loud thud. Stars exploded in my field of vision as the back of my head bounced. I thought back to my earlier encounter with Pia and how I whispered in her ear ‘I’m going to have sex with your boyfriend in his car and all over his house. Deal with it, cunt!’ I had bated her into doing this…knowing it would enrage Kreese…getting me even more of what I really wanted. As he held me by my neck, I grabbed him as well, but my grip had found the only part of him that I had a legitimate use for at the moment. I could see his perve-switch flip, because mine had been flipping back and forth all night…and it was definitely in the on position at the moment. He kicked the door closed as we launched into another romp that no doubt ruined even more of his belongings, but that was of little concern to me. He was a brutal animal and that is what I wanted and deserved...maybe this release was just what the doctor ordered. As he poured his hate and anger into me…I did the same. Like an overfilled glass I hoped that by the time we were done with one another that I would be spent and empty of my dark desires and impulses. Maybe by the time I finally faced Salinas I wouldn’t also have to worry about containing the demon that dwelled inside me. Maybe this treatment was working…maybe…just maybe…

Post-show Anger with Nyako
Nyako paces around the locker room like a caged panther, fuming at what had happened earlier in the evening with Gabriella Salinas. Everything was going fine in the matchup between her sister and Salinas , even though there were times she wanted to stop the match herself for the pain she had put Oni through, but when Salinas went to grab the chair to cause more harm to Oni, Nyako had enough.
She had stopped her from entering the ring with it, only for Salinas to let the chair go while they were fighting over it, causing Nyako to fall backwards on to her butt. That was nothing more than slightly embarrassing but for Nyako it showed how erratic Salinas could be and at what lengths she would go to if things weren’t going her way.
If Nyako wasn’t on commentary for the match, who would have stopped Salinas from following through on her treat of bodily harm to Oni. Nyako had been late in saving Oni both times Sidney struck and only was able to make it this time because she was there. But what if she wasn’t, Uzai proved he was useless in situations like this, being taken out both these lat two times and as tough as Oni was or at least had been, Nyako noticed she seemed be coming in with more bruises and scars each time she saw her.
Oni wouldn’t confide in her where they came from, or offered a weak excuse. But Nyako was damn sure not going to let things happen when she was capable of stopping them beforehand like tonight. And if tonight taught Nyako anything, it was that Salinas had proven to be as just as unstable as Grey was. Nyako wasn’t able to make Grey pay, but she knew sooner or later she and Salinas would have it out.
Still it didn’t make what happened tonight any better. She had a sore jaw and a couple of loose teeth from the punch Salinas delivered to her when Nyako pulled her awy from Oni, and it did nott put her in a happy mood.
“I swear, I’m going to make her pay.” Nyako snarled.
As I looked up at my sister, feeling every nerve in my body singing with the painful song that Salinas had played on it, I found it hard not to smile…though I managed. Though I had not won the match, I had got what I sorely needed, another physical release and mentally I felt completely satisfied. There were no outside voices to distract me and no vile thoughts threatening to intrude. The blood and the bruises that my opponent had left on me was almost comforting. If anything…I was incredibly turned on at the moment. I knew that my sister would not understand this, so I played the role of equally outraged sister.
“Yes…that woman will need to be dealt with! I know that when you face her, you’ll put her in proper place.”
I stood up and put my hand to a sore spot on my neck, then I remember that bruise I sported there was a handprint that was left there courtesy of my weekend romp. I quickly brought my hand down in the hopes that my sister would not look too closely.
“I’ll do more than just put her in her place.” Nyako said.
She played the events of tonight over and over in her head. Growing more frustrated with each replaying in her mind. She had wanted to believe Salinas was just all talk. Not really harmless but not someone who subscribed to the Gey school of wrestling. Whjen she confronted Nyako the last show, Nyako was prepared to fight her after her match with Drew, but instead she told Nyako she’d wait to face her if she won the Marquee title. No cheapshot, no attack from behind. But tonight proved to her at least in Nyako’s eyes it was just a false front. She practically was about to snap on Oni like she had done to Drew in their irst match.
“I’m not even sure I want to wait until after my Marquee Title match to deal with her. Hell I’m not sure if I can if she pulls another stunt like this. I was fine when she just ran her mouth and try to pump herself up. Now that I see that she’s just as bad as Grey, I may need to cut off the head of the snake before it bites me.”
Nyako stopped and leveled a look at Oni.
“I’m sorry you had to go through what happened tonight. Are you ok?”
She looked at the bruise on her sisters neck.
“Did she do that to you to? What the hell is wrong with her did that happen when you two were rolling around on the ground outside?”
I nearly wiped my brow in relief after Nyako gave me the perfect excuse for the ‘extra’ damage I had sustained. I nodded, “Yeah…it must have been, but it’s okay…I’ll live.” I narrowed my eyes at her, “You just make sure that you keep both eyes open when you finally face her. She may claim to be an angel, but I think she is anything but that!”
I sighed, “Well…not sure if it is a blessing or not, but it looks like you get a little bit of a break from her on the next show…though I’m not sure that it is a step down in competition, Miyoko Oshiro has been on a bit of a roll.”
Nyako ran her hand over her face and through her hair before letting out a sigh.
“Yeah Miyoko once again. I’m sure this won’t be like last time, even though that wasn’t easy either. I’m not looking past her. I sure as hell don’t need someone else clamoring that they should be in line for the Marquee title. Bad enough Steele nosed her way into the picture and Salinas thinks she should have been give it outright. If Miyoko gets a drop on me, I’m sure I won’t hear anything but how she beat the top contender so she should have my spot.”
Nyako flopped down on a bench as all her earlier anger started to fade away to be replaced with frustration.
“Honestly Kimyku. I’m not ready for all this. I came in hoping to just work out some frustration but then everything came tumbling down. First Grey, then you, now Salinas. On top of that I got Raheem trying to persuade me to get a extreme makeover ot ‘improve’ my image. That in the hell.”
Nyako looked at her sister and smiled wearily.
“So you know I didn’t mean you are a problem. It’s just that you know, with our past I didn’t know what to expect at first. It turned out for the best, but still it’s the only thing that has.”
I didn’t appreciate being enumerated among Nyako’s problems…even though she had more or less taken back the comment, still it stung. I had worked hard to get pass all of that and in one single sentence she had brought it all crashing back…
…why are you even concerning yourself with what she thinks of you, she obviously sees you are an anchor around her neck, dragging her down; cut your losses and just do what comes natural…it’s what she and everyone else expects anyway…
The voice inside my head came roaring back after Nyako all but punched me in the stomach. For a few moments I was feeling good about myself and thinking that the much needed release of tension would be a positive thing, but it didn’t last.
Though Nyako’s words had upset me, I tried not to let it show. I needed to get out of there and I needed to do it fast. My fight with Salinas had been a high…on par with the release of frustration I had had last week inside and outside The Pit. I needed to feel that once again…and I needed to feel it soon. I didn’t want to dwell on the fact that I was just another problem in my sister’s life.
I stood up abruptly, plastering a fake smile on my face. “Well…I have to get going. I think I am going to have So move my flight out of here up so I can get back early.” I walked over and hugged my sister, but it almost hurt to do so. I was confused at how quickly things had changed on account of one small statement…I was now bordering on being angry…I just wasn’t sure who to be angry with.
I whispered in her ear, “Sorry…” then gave her a kiss on the cheek before turning and grabbing my bags. “I’ll see you back in New York…okay?”
Nyako knew she said the wrong thing despite trying to make up for it with her next statement. The statement was true because Oni had turned into one of the few things that helpe d Ny get through her time in LAW, and even though it did seem like Oni had secrets she was keeping from NYako, she still felt her sister wasn't the same person she once was. But in typicval Nyako fashion she stuck her foot in her mouth.
"Maybe I can catch an earlier flight with you? I have no reason to hang around here also I can take you up on the offer of seeing your place." She said.
She didn't want her sister to go away angry or feeling rejected because she did not mean for her to take her words that way. Oni tied to cover her hurt, but Nyako could read her better now than she could have i nthe past. Now her emotions showed easier and harder to hide, unlike i nthe past where she used them more asa weapon and Nyako couldn't tell when she was being genuine or not.
As much as I didn't really want to be around my sister at the moment, I found it hard to say no to her. I nearly opened my mouth to tell her 'okay' but it really wasn't okay. Maybe in her mind she had misspoken, but I knew that was how she felt on one level or another. I had a ways to go before I became something more than a problem for her.
"I'd love the company...but I was hoping that you could find Uzai. He really tried hard to help tonight, but he might have gotten hurt. I was going to take him with me, but they are looking at him in the Trainer's Office." I put my hand on her shoulder. "I really hope you don't mind!"
Yeah, it was a lie...but mingled with enough truth so that I left with clean hands. She didn't care for Uzai, but I knew she would respect his effort. I needed space from her at the moment...time to be alone with my thoughts. Maybe I could figure out why I was such a screw up and a burden before I alienated everyone. Yeah, I am running away from people so I can find out why they don't want to be around me...
Nyako wasn't much of a fan of Uzai's but it was the least she could do for her sister since it seemed she had sent Oni's mood tumbling down from one careless statement. Besides she needed to fight out from Uzai what had Oni been up to. The closer she got ot looking at the mark on Oni's neck the more she noticed it was too big to be from Salinas. She knew though Oni wouldn't tell her what it was from when she seemd to be in a better mood. Now there would be no way in hell she's tell Nyako anything.
"Yes I'll keep tabs on Uzai and make sure he's alright. I have to show him my gratitude for at least attempting to stop Salinas from grabbing a chair. Granted I think a new born bady would have been a better challenge in stopping her." She said trying to make a joke at the expense of Uzai to at least illicit a genuine smile from Oni.
I smile at her little joke, and I give her one last hug and kiss on the cheek. I excuse myself, grabbing my bag and heading out the door. As soon as I am out of the room I feel my fists and jaw clinch and my anger rises. I turn and drive my fist into the wall. I am so angry that I feel on the verge of losing control…
…I can’t believe that bitch mentioned your name in the same breath as Grey and Salinas; we should kick her right in the cunt…
Despite that thought, I am more angry with myself than I am with her. I was the one who was the problem. I needed to fix myself if she was ever going to accept me as something that was more than just another problem that needed to be dealt with. I would have to redouble my efforts with Dr. Kazama and her treatment methods…
…but first…we need to released a bit of tension, don’t you think…
For once…we agree on something…

Hidden Agendas
SoLo was not a fan of Uzai. She found the man to be annoying and creepy…however, she couldn’t deny the fact that his devotion to Oni was admirable. The two of them had that in common and she hoped that she could learn to look past everything else. He had done what he could to stop Gabriella Salinas from hurting her sister during their match, but in the end he had proved to be no match for the Vain Angel.
SoLo walked to the door of the Trainer’s Office and stood there for a moment…wondering what she’d say to Uzai when she saw him. She would have preferred to send him a get well soon card, but she needed to be a better person than that, and that meant facing up to situations that made her uncomfortable. SoLo took a deep breath and opened the door.
As soon as she walked in…she immediately froze in her tracks, her eyes fixed on the scene in front of her…Uzai and the trainer in a decidedly compromising position. The trainer jumped to his feet, fastening his pants as he stared at SoLo and then at Uzai in a mixture of embarrassment and surprise. “You said you locked the door!”
The trainer rushed out of the office, brushing past SoLo in a huff. She watched him leave, then turned back to Uzai. “Should I even ask about this? I thought you were back here in getting treated!”
Uzai chuckled, “I was getting treated pretty well right up until you came here.” He shook his head, as he nonchalantly pulled up his on pants. He looked at SoLo and sighed, “You have horrible timing little girl!”
He hopped down off the table and glared at SoLo. As much as he knew that she didn’t like him, he disliked her more. She was standing between him and Oni and he had made it his mission to make sure that her interference came to an end.
“You back here to laugh at me?” he shook his head, “At least I tried to get out there and help my Mis…” he paused, corrected him himself, “…Oni, I did what I could to help.” He looked her up and down with distain. “I didn’t see you out there.”

RUMOR HAS IT... 22 October 2014
Edition #8
Welcome to episode 8 of the LAW edition of ‘Rumor Has It…’ I am Fatima Alexander Quincy, the Queen of the Rumor Mill! Now…lets get to the latest dirt!
Sex, Lies, and Videotape When the “Flappening” hit the internet last month we all got an inside glance into the ‘exposed’ lives of some of the world’s most popular celebrities. Until now, LAW superstars had seemingly been immune to this kind of unwanted exposure, but allegedly that is all about to change.
Rumor has it that there is an X-rated video of one of LAW’s stars currently for sale to the highest bidder. While the source refuses to name the star, they did go on record and say that the video involves steamy and involves someone that is not known as a sexpot. CTN is in intense negotiations to obtain the footage, even as rumors of who the tape involves abound.
Personally, I hope that it is someone like Evie Taylor or Gabby Camacho! Who wouldn’t want to see those two in action? Better yet, maybe the video is of the two of them together!!
Rude, Crude, and TattooedOn the latest edition of LAW, Sidney Grey faced off with the Marquee Champion in the garb of the Alliance of Violence as she dedicated her match to her supposed new best friend, Kate Steele. Many LAW faithful wondered if the reality star had really joined the AoV or if this was suppose to be her audition for membership into the group. Rumor has it that Grey spent a fortune on blonde hair dye and tattoos in order to gain acceptance into the group. If this is true, she had better hope that Kelly Fox allows her into the group, if not…she may find herself on that other crappy reality show, where they cover horrible tattoos! Stone Cold FoxMany hardcore wrestling fans were shocked to see Nyako Shinsuzuki…or should I say…see so MUCH of her in CTN’s latest Insider Magazine. The scrappy number one contender for the LAW Marquee Title has made her mark in the business as a no-nonsense competitor inside the squared circle. This change has astonished many and excited the rest of her fans. Rumor has it that CTN is looking to mold her into becoming its next star attraction. I for one can’t wait to see a little bit more than what was teased in that photo shoot. Maybe we’ll see a video of her sometime soon…or maybe she’ll do one with Evie and Gabby! Wouldn’t that be a kick in the head?
Well fans, that will do it for this edition of “Rumor Has it…” If you have a rumor that you want to tell, please message me, titling your anonymous post as New Rumor and you may see your rumor on my very next show! © 2014 Circle Television Network. All rights reserved

So What's New? with Nyako
Nyako was coming off the high of a brutal match with Miyoko. Just like she had promised she had gave it all and had improved over the first time they met. At the same time though Nyako made good on her words and proved she had gotten just that much better also.
Nyako replayed the match in her head, reliving the moment she caught Miyoko in the Tsunami Driver and pinned her. What Miyoko said leading up to the match struck a chord inside of Nyako. It shouldn’t have affected her as much as it did, She was used to her opponents or rivals talking shit about her whether they believed it or not. Always questioning her ability and looking down on her. This time though, this time it just got under her skin.
Then it hit her. What she said about her sister. Nyako was uses to it about her but when Miyoko questioned Oni’s character among other things, it sent a spike of pure anger through her. She wanted to not hurt Miyoko, but shut her up. She wanted Miyoko to fell the consequences of running hwe mouth when it wqas best to remain silent. Nyako was one thing, Oni was a whole nother subject.
As much as Oni may have thought Nyako dreaded having her around and looked at her as more of a burden but that could be further from the truth. At first it might have been more of the dase but now she was the only thing Nyako cared about. Yes she had her career and her current rise to the top along with the blitz by CTN but none of it concerned Nyako as much as Oni did, only thing that came close was her adopted sister SoLo. Both of which probably thought Nyako wanted nothing with either of them.
She recalled the last time Oni and her talked. After the show before and how things left between them. Nyakjo misspoke of sorts. She lumped her into the group of people and things that had gotten to her since joining LAW to try to fix it by saying On had been the only bright spot in it but by then the damage had been done. Oni tried to play it off and gave her a weak smile before she asked Nyako to look after Uzai for her. Nyako agreed and tried to make plans to see Oni on her return to New York, but everytime she tried to contact her, it went unanswered. Her sister was avoiding her because of one stupid comment made.
Tonight in Nyako’s head was an apology to Oni. At least that’s how Nyako cam into the match. When Miyoko said those things about Oni, Nyako felt it was the same words she had used on her. Yeah they weren’t but to Nyako they did as much damage s her’s did and she wanted to make Miyoko pay for them.
She wanted her sister to come by so she could rightfully apologize ti her. As much as the much helped Nyako feel better it wasn’t complete until Oni knew how sorry she was.
The door to the locker room slowly opened as Nyako head the familiar footsteps of her sister. Nyako showed a have smile as her eyes showed regret for the things she had said in the past. As she saw her sister entered her mind went blank from what she wanted to say. O nly one thing was left there…
“I’m sorry…”
As soon as I say Nyako there I felt a wave of warmth rush over me. I hadn’t seen or talked to her in nearly two-weeks. I had been hurt by her comments to me after my match with Salinas . Being equated to a ‘problem’ that my sister had to deal with didn’t sit well with me, but I understood it…
…sorry? I hope you aren’t going to just accept th…
I walked over and hugged her tight, ignoring the inner voice that always attempted to impede my progress. I held her back and looked at her. “I’m sorry…I should have been here with you tonight, just like you were there for me two weeks ago. I won’t let words get in the way of being a good sister again.”
I paused, looking around as I furled my brow. “Which brings me to another point of interest. Where is Miyoko? I didn’t see her comments until the day before the show. I would have been here to straighten things out if I could.”
“I don’t know honestly.” Nyako said after pulling away from Oni. “I really don’t care right now though either.”
Nyako knew it was a cold thing to say, but it was how she felt. After the womean called them out for not asking her to join their group and then to say they would be begging her to after she beat Nyako; it didn’t sti right with her. Miyoko had been a different person the first time around. Still a tough and hard fighter but didn’t seem to have the same disorder so many in LAW seemed to suffer from…buying into their own hype.
Nyako was fighting against type trying to stay out of the same ranks, despite everyone on the outside seemed to be trying to pump her hup and fill her ego, difference was she had Oni to keep her grounded. Sure someone like Grey had her daughter and even her sister Song to try to, but she was to far gone for that to have an effect. From what Nyako saw, it seemed Skye fed into Miyoko’s current change also so there was no one keeping her in check. Nyako though, well she had Oni, and also a strong sense of reality. It just took one misstep to send everything tumbling down.
The last thought made Nyako think about what happened after she had left thr ring though. Someone going to the ring and laying waste to Miyoko. Nyako thought about trying to help but chose not too. Was it because of how she felt toward Miyoko or was it because the disorder did find a way to creep in.
“The last I saw was her being finished off by someone after our match….”
“Finished off?” That seemed like a very callous way to put things, but I understood the anger and frustration…but I understood it on both fronts.
I put my hand on Nyako’s shoulder, speaking in Korean to show the seriousness of my words. <“Ny…I know that what she said was pretty horrible and out of line, but she’s one of us…regardless of what comes out of her mouth. If someone is out there trying to hurt one of our sisters, we have a duty to stand by them…no matter how we may feel about their views.”>
I knew that this sounded strange coming from me now, especially after my sister had seen the way I was before. My USA agenda had been different then, but this was my chance to make it right. I balled up my fists as my jaw tightened, <”If someone out there has a problem with Miyoko and they feel the only way to solve it is to jump her after a match…I am going to give them a reason to really jump!”>
It was hard for Nyako to agree with Oni. Yes Miyoko was an “Asian sister”, but in Nyako’s mind she lost the right for support when she tried to bully them into accepting her. What did strike Nyako thought from what Oni said was the comment of stopping whoever it was that did attack Miyoko. It wasn’t the fact that it happened to Miyoko, but that Oni swore to get to the bottom of it and stop it from happening again. Nyako remember the last time Oni tried to do the “right” thing and it cost her time in the hospital at the hands of Sidney Grey and Summer St Clair.
With that Nyako knew what she had to do. <”You’re right my sister. We must get to the bottom of this. We can’t let this type of thing go unchecked.”>
What he said was partly true but her motives were selfish in a sense. To make sure her sister didn’t get caught in the cross hairs.
It felt good knowing that Ny had my back, but I knew that this was my fight. I was the one that had founded USA and even though we were no longer a stable, the ideals of USA still existed, so long as someone dared to uphold them.
“I know you want to be by my side…and trust me, if I need you…I’ll ask…but let me do this. You have bigger fish to fry.” I couldn’t help but to frown. “This is a monster of my making. Miyoko clearly expected us to run out and embrace her, but she felt slighted when we didn’t. I should have…I could have done and said more…but I was so wrapped up in other things that I lost sight of what was important.”
“Prepare for you title match…and know that I have your back…like I know you have mine.”
Nyako didn’t want to let Oni do this alone like she wanted. Again the events from the past played in her head on how she let Oni handle things on her own. SShe had her back then but even then it was too late. She did not want to be in the same place again. Still when Oni set her mind to something, she was determined to have it her way. One of the few qualities they shared as sisters, that and their taste for violence.
“Fine, fine my dear sister. Have it your way.” She said giving into Oni’s request. “But next show you will have to put up with me sticking to you like glue seeing as we have another tag match together.”
A small smile crossed her face at the prospect of teaming up once again with Oni and keeping her safe for one night.
The tag team match! I had nearly forgotten all about it…
…too busy thinking about Miyoko…sweet juicy little Miyoko; hey, did you ever notice how much she looks like Shiori…
I had never thought about that before…but another time for that. I smiled as well, happy at the prospect of another tag team match with my sister. “THE MATCH! YES!! I can’t wait to get back into the ring with you! This match will be a great one, you and me against Taylor and Camacho…another chance for us to show just how good we really are as a team.”
I chuckled, “I know that there is already a number one contender’s match for the tag team titles that night, but I think LAW would be hard pressed to leave our names out of that title picture for much longer.”
“I agree but let us first deal with Taylor and Comacho. This si my first time out of helping or receive help from Comacho that I get to face her. Funny how it took this long for us to cross path’s. OIf course if Grey had her way, it would have even taken longer if she continued the assault on her.”
It did play in Nyako’s mind that she came to the resque of Comacho but not that of Miyoko. She could claim she owed a debt to Comacho for helping her and Oi out from before and it was partially true but was it the only truth?
Nyako pushed it out of her mind. “Still this one means more to me than a step toward consideration to tag team gold, or facing off against Comacho. Like I said, it also gives me a chance to have your back as well as you mine. At least for one night we will beside by side when problems might arise and we will face them head on together, instead of reacting to them a bit late.”
“Fair enough…we’ll focus on the tag team match and take care of business on that front.” I said, though I had other thoughts in mind. The perceived slight to Miyoko bothered me deeply and I felt compelled to do something about it. I didn’t know about the attack on her after her match with my sister, but I aimed to find out all that I could about it.
I pulled Ny into a strong embrace, but all the while I was focused on what I would do next. I would have to do what I could to make this right…no matter what.

Getting Out In Front
As the video ended, Trisha VanReardon, Investigative Reporter for CTN, turned and looked at the two company executives who sat in attendance. “Well…what do you think?”
Both Syn and Maleek Raheem sat in their seats with their mouths agape…their eyes wide. Finally, Raheem stood up and burst out laughing. “OH MY GOD!! IS THAT SHIT FOR REALS, YO?!”
Syn remained more reserved as she ignored his outburst, keeping her icy gaze on Trisha. “Who else has seen this?”
Trisha pointed at the two of them. “Just you two…”
She breathed a sigh of relief. “Good…”
“After tomorrow…” Trisha spread her arms wide, “…the entire world.”
Syn sat forward, narrowing her eyes at Trisha. “You do realize how this is going to affect my client?! Nyako is on the verge of becoming LAW’s next Marquee Champion!”
Trisha raised her eyebrow at the statement. “I think the current champion might have something to say about that…but that is neither here, nor there! At the end of the day, I am a Journalist and I have a job to do. This is a significant news story and I am going to be the one to break it.” Her blue eyes moved from Syn to Raheem. “The only reason that I am showing this to the two of you is because you both have a stake in this.”
Raheem looked at the woman, pacing slowly back and forth as he did. “Git’ out in front of it, huh?”
Syn chimed in, “This video is going to ruin everything! I don’t see how we…’get out in front’ of any fucking thing!”
Trisha rolled her eyes, “Look…I’m doing you the favor here…what you do with this afterwards is your deal…not mine! Tell her…or don’t tell her…it’s your choice.”
Syn threw up her hands in frustration as she got to her feet, cursing. Raheem walked over and put his hand on her shoulder. “You can’t tell Nyako about this…you know she is gonna flip her fuckin’ wig, right?”
Syn stared back at him. “If I don’t tell her, she is going to be blindsided and I don’t need her distracted…I need her focused!”
Raheem nodded, “Yeah…but if you do tell her bout’ this shit, she gonna wonder why th’ fuck you aint’ stop her from airin’ th’ damn thang’ in th’ first fuckin’ place!” He smirked, “Trust me…you better off playin’ this shit close to th’ damn vest and helpin’ her deal wit’ th’ damn fall out.”
Syn ran her hands through her long hair in frustration. She knew that Raheem was right, even though she wished he wasn’t. She turned her icy glare to Trisha. “Fine! You wanted us out in front…we’re out in front! Don’t you think that this little so-called professional courtesy of yours absolves you of blame for what you are about to do!” Syn didn’t wait for a response as she turned and marched out of the office, her high heels striking loudly on the marble floor.
Raheem shook his head, “Humph! Bitch be mad like a mutha…I’d watch my back if I was you!” he said to Trisha as he turned to leave.
She ran over, grabbing his arm and stopping him before he left. “Before you go…I wanted to talk to you about something. I mean…seeing as how ‘The Rap Up!’ has ended…that kind of leaves a void in the CTN line up…one that I think I could fill.”
Raheem looked at the shapely reporter, taking her all in as he licked his lips. “Is that right?” He folded his thick arms over his broad chest as he grinned. “Well…gittin’ gaps filled is my specialty. What did you have in mind?”
Trisha smiled deviously, “First dinner…and then…afterwards…we’ll see what you think.”
The two smiled deviously at one another…as the scene faded to black…

What Is Done In The Dark
Here I sit, with only one more day before I step into a LAW ring again in a tag team match with my sister by my side once more. Nothing in the world gives me more pleasure than standing by her side…showing the entire world what the Shinsuzki sisters are made of…what the two of us can do when put together as a unit. In our very first foray, we managed to defeat the LAW Champion and the number one contender to that same title…but the road gets no easier this weekend. We find ourselves paired against Evie Taylor once more…and the woman I faced in my very first match here in LAW, the current Marquee Champion, Gabby Camacho.
As for Evie Taylor…I can honestly say that I bare the woman no ill will or malice. As the LAW Queen of the Ring she has represented the company with grace and intensity and we could ask for nothing more. When she finally squares off against The Doc for The LAW Title, I fully expect a match of epic proportions as she shows the world what this company is all about. That being said…tomorrow night is a different matter entirely.
When my sister and I step into that ring with her a second time…it will be U.S.A. that represents LAW with grace and intensity. I have nothing but respect for Taylor and all that she has done and will do…but when that bells rings on Sunday and I find myself across the ring from her…all bets are off. I don’t know if she respects me or not, but I plan on making my presence felt one more time against the woman who might certainly one day stand at the top of the LAW mountain. Should she defeat The Doc…I would like nothing better than for her to view me as a worthy opponent that she has yet to conquer.
In her corner stands Gabby Camacho…the current Marquee Champion and a woman who I am proud to call a friend. Camacho stuck her neck out for me after my debut and saved me from a serious injury at the hands of Sidney Grey and Summer St. Clair. For that…I owe her more than I can ever repay. On that night, she showed me and the entire world what she was made of and what she was all about. Regardless of the outcome of our first encounter…she will always be a warrior and an inspiration.
On Sunday…when she and I lock up for a second time…I want her to know that once the match ends, nothing between us will change. She will still be one of the main reasons that I am proud to call myself a member of the LAW roster…she will still be one of the very best.
My sister steps into this match with just as much…if not more to prove than I do. This will be her third meeting with Taylor…a rubber match of sorts. Taylor stopped her bid to become Queen of the Ring…and Nyako was responsible for the only blemish on Taylor’s otherwise flawless record. My sister has done nothing but work hard to prove to everyone watching that she is one of the very best in LAW…and in this business. She would like nothing better than to put Taylor down a second time as she stakes her claim to the LAW Marquee Title as it’s number one contender.
What better way to stake a claim than to face and defeat the woman who holds that belt? I know that Nyako feels the same way about Camacho that I do. She has nothing but respect for the woman and all that she has accomplished, but at the end of the day…this is a business and in business sometimes lines get blurred and crossed. On Sunday, my sister gets her chance to lay hands on the woman she is fated to face for The Marquee Title…a belt that she intends to win, regardless of whether it is held by friend or foe.
At the end of the night, I have no doubt that my sister and I will stand tall together in victory. No slight to Taylor or Camacho, but sometimes business makes for strange bedfellows and even stranger opposition. For my part…I extend my hand to both of them in friendship before our match on Sunday with the promise that I will do the same following our match, but from bell to bell…do not expect me to bend or break. Just as they have much to prove…so do my sister and I. On Sunday night…all of LAW will be put on notice. Nyako and Oni are a force to be reckoned with…expect a fight and prepare yourself for defeat…
ONI'S APARTMENT Soho, New York 1 November 2014
My heart was racing inside my chest as I collapsed on top of Kreese in a sweaty heap with only the sheets of my bed to cover the nakedness of our bodies. As I lay there, listening to the trip hammer beat of his own heart I couldn’t help but feel a bit of selfish embarrassment over what I had just done. I knew that he was not a good man…and what was more I also knew that he was in a relationship…one that I had put in jeopardy after our first encounter when I visited him in The Pit. Despite myself and all the progress I had made, this remained my one guilty pleasure…this remained the one thing that held my inner demon at bay. With him...I did not have to hide my appetites...any of them.
Kreese was a brutal man and he liked the fact that I enjoyed his brutality as much as he did. Our bodies…mainly mine…bore the marks of our violent affair, disguised as wounds received inside the ring. My sister noticed them…but to date…she didn’t suspect it was anything more than what I said they were…combat wounds…and I didn’t lie when I said it. Sex with Kreese was rough...rougher than he could ever hope to have with his girlfriend.
I drug my knuckle across a rapidly darkening bruise on his upper arm and he flinched, tossing me off of him. “FUCK BITCH! THAT SHIT HURTS!” He looked down at his arm and rolled his eyes. “Pia gonna be tripping over this shit tonight when I get home!” He glared at me and I could tell that he wanted to hit me. “More shit I got to explain…”
When he didn’t hit me, I felt slightly disappointed…but I knew that it would only lead to another marathon session between us…and neither of us had time for that. I stood up, not bothering to cover myself…nor the bruises I bore. “Don’t think you’re the only one who has shit to explain. If my sister knew where I got these…those few bumps and nicks you have would be the least of your worries!”
He grinned viciously as he kneaded himself beneath the sheets. “Oh yeah?! Maybe you can show her…maybe she can jump in here with us one day and see what happens, huh?”
Of course, any normal person would have been disgusted by his suggestion…but my particular brand of ‘crazy’ couldn’t help but feel slightly turned on by the idea. Despite the tingle of excitement I felt, I frowned…knowing that this was yet another topic that I would one day have to bring up to Dr. Kazama. I reached over and yanked the sheets off of him, exposing his nakedness as I did. “Sorry to burst your bubble, but there’s no time to explore any of that right now. You have to get home to your girlfriend and I have to catch a flight to my event.”
Kreese chuckled as he sat up in the bed. “That fake wrestling shit, huh?”
I arched my brow as his words hit me, but I quickly composed myself. I knew he was trying to bate me…he wanted to start another fight…I could see that he was obviously ready for a second and maybe even a third round…
…I heard a bell…didn’t you just hear it, I know we aren’t going to just let this go…are we…
Unfortunately, my inner demon would have to settle for a single tussle today. My body sang with the exquisite pain of our shared brutality, but risking anything more today would be foolish. “Sorry…no more takers today.” I pointed at his erection, “Take that thing home to your girlfriend…I’m tagging her in the match.”
Kreese stood up and put his hand around my neck as he forced me back against the wall. “You know that she doesn’t go in for any of this…”
He squeezed and my vision blurred for a moment…but the pain brought things back into sharp focus for me. There was no time for this…
…the heart wants, what the heart wants…
I grabbed his shoulder, digging my nails in hard. It was against the rules…no marks that Pia would know came from me…but he started this. Kreese shoved me against the wall again as he let me go and stumbled back, putting his hand on his shoulder and then looking at the blood on his hand, as he exclaimed loudly “BITCH!”
I tackled him to the floor and we fought like animals there until he finally gained the upper hand and forced my face into the tile floor, pinning me there, hands behind my back. I paid for what I done to him…and I enjoyed every single minute of it…
A few hours later I arrived at the airport, dark shades covering my eyes and the lightly colored bruise on my face. My body was a mass of pain…and I couldn’t have been happier about it. Still…I knew that I would be hard pressed to explain away everything with my sisters. I would figure it out…I always did.
When SoLo saw me, she ran over and threw her arms around me, her voice ringing out and nearly making me laugh with joy as I heard it. “ONI!!” Her embrace was tight and it awakened some of the dull aches that Kreese had left me, but I kept it together and didn’t let on that I was anymore sore than I should have been.
“I can’t wait to see you guys in the ring tomorrow! It’s gonna to be great!” she added, stepping back from our embrace. “I might see if I can go down to the rin…” she paused, looking at me strangely. “Is that a black eye?”
‘Shit’ I swore to myself as I took off my shades. I thought I had done a better job of covering it. “It was a training accident” I said, but I could tell by the look on her face that she was not buying it.
She posted her hands on her thin hips. “You seem a little too accident prone these days. Tell me what is going on here!”
…you should tell her…maybe she’ll want to join in next time, it could be fun…don’t you think…
I ignored my inner voice as my mind scrambled for an answer…something that wasn’t too far from the truth. “I have been working with an MMA trainer…some of our sessions get a little…intense.”
She narrowed her eyes, looking at me for any sign of deception. “This looks pretty fresh…were you training this morning?”
“Just before I came to the airport…I almost didn’t make it here on time.” I looked around for Nyako, knowing that she was never late for anything.
She grabbed me by my hand and pulled me towards the ladies room. “You better let me cover that up before Ny sees it…or even worse, Evie or Gabby! They will go right after you!”
I couldn’t lie, that prospect filled me with excitement. I knew that SoLo wouldn’t understand that…not many people at all, really. My last fight with Salinas had been vicious and it had awakened something inside me that needed to be fed. Maybe it would happen again this weekend...the ring was the perfect cover for my violent outbursts. SoLo led me into the bathroom and pulled me into a stall as she cracked open her purse and pulled out her make-up kit. She went to work on me like a seasoned professional, quickly brushing, blending, and touching up my face to make me look halfway presentable.
A few minutes later we stepped out of the stall together and I looked at myself in the mirror and I couldn’t help but to be amazed. I touched my face and winced as the pain reminded me that I was still hurt…though I looked perfectly fine. I turned to her, wide eyed. “Song, this is amazing! How did you learn to do this?”
She looked at me, incredulously, “I have worked for Ms. Grey for a long time…you pick up a few skills along the way when you work with an alcoholic who loves the spotlight. I once did her makeup and hair sitting on the back of a Harley doing 80 miles per hour in the middle of the night, 15 minutes before an awards dinner!”
I chuckled, not sure if she was joking or not…with Sidney Grey, nothing was out of the question. I turned back to the mirror, still admiring her handy work. “This is amazing Song, thank you…the last thing that I want is to be a distraction for my sister in the ring on Sunday. She is making her big push towards that Marquee Title and that is the only thing that matters…
…not quite the only thing….
I paused and SoLo noticed. She looked at me questioningly, “What is it?”
“Oshiro…” I answered plainly.
SoLo frowned, “Reeves?” she answered.
“Miyoko Oshiro…” I corrected. “…she got attacked on the last show.”
SoLo was quiet for a moment. “Yeah…Violet jumped her.” After another pause she added, “It’s a shame…but I don’t know why you care. She shit all over you and Ny before that match. If you ask me, she got what she had coming to her.”
SoLo’s statement hurt me when I heard it, almost as much as Oshiro’s statements about me and Nyako, but I forced it behind me. I understood why she was upset and I also understood why my sister felt the same way. Oshiro had thrown us both under the bus and backed over us in her interview before her match with my sister on the last show. It had come out of the blue seemingly…but I knew better than that. Oshiro knew my history…she knew that I had once had an agenda that would have surely included her as a perspective member of the United Sisters of Asia. SoLo and Nyako both didn’t understand where the girl was coming from…but I did…and I felt terrible over it.
I put my hand on her shoulder as I looked at SoLo in earnest. “She did not deserve what happened to her…regardless of what she said about me and Ny. Maybe she was right about me…maybe she was right about everything that she said…”
“NO!” SoLo interjected, “She has no idea who you and Ny are!”
I smiled at her vigorous defense, “Thank you Song, but I don’t think you understand who I use to be…what I claimed to stand for. Oshiro spoke more of the truth than I cared to admit…she just didn’t understand the reason why I had not approached her…or any of the other Asian women in LAW. U.S.A. was a lie…it was never what I once claimed it was. It was a selfish endeavor which served an evil purpose that I am ashamed of. I wanted to forget about it…bury it. I guess I can’t.”
SoLo looked at me with compassion in her eyes, though she didn’t fully understand. “If you can’t forget your past…maybe you can do something about it now.”
“I fully intend to” I answered, “Oshiro opened my eyes…I’d been trying so hard to change things and forget who I was that I forgot about the most important part…erasing the damage I have caused with my past actions. U.S.A. needs to stand for something…just like it always was intended to.”
SoLo smirked, “I wouldn’t count on Oshiro tossing her hat into the ring if I were you. That ship looks like it sailed.”
I nodded, “Yes…and I don’t blame her…but that won’t stop me from doing what I can to make it up to her. What Violet did offends me…and it should offend everyone else with a sense of pride in LAW…particularly the rest of our Asian sisters!”
SoLo smiled, “One thing at a time…first you have to deal with Taylor and Camacho…then you can worry about everything else.”
That was sound advice and I nodded as I put my arm around my surrogate sister and held her close to me. “Trust me when I say this…I am totally focused on this match this weekend. I am going to make damn sure that I hold up my end of things. Nyako is not going to have anything to worry about in her corner…”
As soon as I stepped out of the bathroom I could feel a slight change in the air. It was odd…it felt like every eye in the building was on me. Bright lights shone in my face, causing me to shield my eyes as a woman rushed over, microphone in hand.
“Ms. Shinsuzki, I am Trisha VanReardon with CTN News…and I am wondering if you have any comment concerning this video…”
I blinked in confusion as I looked at the woman and then to the cell phone video she held in her hand. My vision blurred for a second and then came back into sharp focus as the image came rushing back to me…
“HONK! HONK! HONK! HONK!”
The car alarm sounding as Kreese pressed me against the hood of the car…not even his car or mine. Nothing stopping us…kissing…touching…groping…scratching…screwing right there for all the world to see…though at the time I didn’t think that the world would actually see it.
I remembered it all…grabbing the hood of the car, struggling to hold on. As I threw back my head and saw faces in the backseat of the car watching us in a mix of shock and excitement…cell phone in hand…
I was shocked back to the present…violently. I had been told that what was done in the dark rarely stayed hidden…and now I was living proof of that. As I stood there staring blankly at the news reporter, all I could see was the face of my sister staring back at me disapprovingly…whether I wanted to be or not…I was suddenly the distraction she absolutely didn’t need to have at the moment…

LAW SUPER PORN STAR REVEALED!
Circle Press Updated 12:45 pm ET, Sunday, November 2, 2014 Article by Trisha VanReardon
NEW YORK CITY – NEW YORK | Twitter was abuzz when rumors of a raunchy sex tape involving a LAW superstar surfaced. Many people speculated over who the tape involved…if it was even real at all. We here at CTN News can confirm that the video does in fact exist and it does involve a current member of the LAW roster who is scheduled to compete tonight at LAW #17 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The cell phone video shows a graphic sexual encounter in a parking lot between an unidentified man and one half of the LAW tag team known as The United Sisters of Asia. The star in question has been identified as Kymiku Shinsuzuki, sister to Nyako Shinsuzuki the current number one contender to the LAW Marquee Title. The video lasts approximately 8 ½ minutes and appears to have been filmed by a third party who was watching the encounter from the inside of a parked vehicle.
At this time, the video has not been publicly released…but several media outlets have expressed interest in purchase and distribution. We attempted to get comments from Ms. Shinsuzuki, but she declined our offer to make an official statement.

Losing Control with Nyako
Following LAW #17, I stood outside the locker room, pacing back and forth with a distraught look on my face. My sister and I got our second victory as tag team, but it wasn’t in any way how I wanted it. I couldn’t get the image of Ny blasting our opponent from behind with that belt out of my head. That wasn’t who she was…and that wasn’t how we did things…
…that’s the way you use to do things, maybe sweet innocent little Nyako is less like this fake new you and more like the way we use to be…
I shook my head at that notion, not wanting to believe it. ‘No…this isn’t Ny…this is my fault!’ I thought to myself, I drove her over the edge with the news about the stupid sex tape. That was it…it had to be. My sister wasn’t a bad person and she had said it herself, she considered Camacho to be a friend, especially after she saved me from Grey and St. Clair…so this was certainly against her nature…out of her character. There was no other way to justify it.
“Errr…excuse me…Oni, do you mind if I get a get a few words with you?” I glanced over and saw Carmen Diaz standing there, with LAW cameras behind her.
I glared at the closed door, knowing that Ny would be coming out at any moment, and I wanted to be there when she did. I turned back to Carmen, “Look Ms. Diaz…I know you want a statement from us about the end of that match…but I really have no explanation for it, other than my sister being under a lot of stress. So, if you don’t mind, can you please just pass on to Taylor and Camacho that we are very sorry for the finish of that match, it was not the way we wanted to win it.”
Carmen nodded, “Yes…I’ll do what I can, but that isn’t what I want to talk about. I’d like to ask you about this alleged sex video…”
I hadn’t forgotten about it…but this was not something I wanted to deal with in the public right now…I still had to explain it to my sister…assuming I even could. “Look Ms. Diaz…I understand that you have a job to do and this is something you feel you need to get out to the public, but this involves my personal life…not my life inside that squared circle. If you are looking for a sound byte…here is one for you play that pertains to what happens INSIDE the ring.”
I walked over to Carmen, getting close to the microphone and making sure that the camera was on me. “This message is for Violet…you don’t know me and I don’t know you. After seeing what you did to Miyoko last show…I wouldn’t care to know you, but let me make this perfectly clear…I understand that you are some sort of vaunted queen bitch wannabe here and you are looking to remind everyone if who and how bad you are…but do it in the ring like the champion you claimed you are and not like the coward you seem to be! Miyoko doesn’t need anyone to fight her battles for her…so I won’t step on her toes…she doesn’t need or want my help…but I won’t stand idly by if you try to take advantage of her again…you and I will have a BIG problem if you do!”
I turned my attention to Miyoko, speaking earnestly in Japanese, “<Oshiro…I know that you felt slighted by my sister and I…for that, I apologize…we never meant any offense. While I know you have no intention of standing with us…I want you to know that I have every intention of standing behind you regarding this honorless dog Violet and her unwarranted aggression toward you.”>
As I concluded my statement, I could tell that Carmen was not happy with me refusing to speak about what she really wanted to talk about. “Oni…I am sure that Miyoko appreciates what…whatever you just said…but this video is big news and it affects this company. There are people standing outside the arena right now protesting and calling you immoral…calling for LAW to fire you. You have to make a statement.”
‘Protesting?’ and ‘calling for me to be fired?’ this all hit me like a punch to the gut. This was the distraction that I was trying to avoid being…this was the problem for my sister that I swore I would not be. I stared at Carmen blankly, not knowing what to say. It wasn’t until I felt a hand on my shoulder that I realized that SoLo had come over.
SoLo stood between me and Carmen. “I am sorry Ms. Diaz, but my sister has no comment right now. We will put out a statement after we have had time to look at this situation, from all angles. Until then…please give us a little space.”
I could see that Carmen wasn’t happy, but it was clear that she was going to get nothing out of me. As Carmen walked off, SoLo turned to me, her large brown eyes searching out mine. “Oni…I will deal with the people outside…I made arrangements for a car to pick you and Ny up at the south side exit, okay?”
I smiled and nodded at her. “Thank you Song…but shouldn’t you come with us?”
She shook her head, “I will join you after I deal with this situation. I’m your business manager now…remember?” She took a deep breath, “But we will have to talk about this…the three of us, all together.”
I nodded, “The three of us…I promise.”
SoLo nodded as she hugged me tightly, whispering into my ear. “Everything will be okay…I promise. We will work through this.”
As she pulled away and head off to do some ‘damage control’ I turned my attention back to the locker room where my sister was finishing her shower. We had things to talk about…namely her snapping at the end of our match. I knew it was my fault…but I didn’t want my actions to drive her to such methods…especially where it concerned someone that we considered a friend and ally like Gabby Camacho…
…screw that fat ass bitch, that title she has belongs to Nyako now…whether she knows it or not; this was just a little wake up call for her and everyone else in LAW…
‘I don’t believe that’ I thought to myself in response to my inner thoughts…
…you better start believing it sister, you heard what Violet had to say tonight, if Nyako doesn’t stake her claim with action…she’ll be nothing more than a paper tiger with a target on her back like Camacho; she needs to show everyone that she’s not messing around…the same way you use to before you became a fucking pussy…
I clenched my fists, tuning out the negative thoughts as the door finally opened and my sister appeared…this was going to be interesting…
…you damn right…
Nyako stood in the shower a long time as she tried to let the day’s events wash away from her. If she had known things would turn out like they did she probably would have taken the first flight back to New York and barricade herself in her small flat she called home. Time and time again when things seemed to be moving in the right direction, there was always something to knock it down.
She should have known better honestly. The day before she had a suspicion something was up when she saw that Cipal Trisha VanReardon at the airport talking to her sister. She knew she should have forced the bitch of a reporter to tell her what was going on but instead she let her get away without a confrontation. Maybe it was because deep down it was something she didn’t want to know about and the longer she could remain blind to it the better. Especially since it may have pertained to Kymiku, her sister. It was the cowards way of doing things and she knew it but ever since Kymiku came back in to her life. Nyako had tried hard not to press the issue on things. She knew her sister had her demons and was trying hard to exorcise them and Nyako didn’t want to be a roadblock for it to happen. But each time she and Kymiku saw each other as of late it seemed they were growing further and further apart.
Part of it Nyako wanted to blame on Kymiku moving out, but that only had been another step in their relationship becoming strained again at least in Nyako’s eyes. Was Kymiku that afraid what Nyako would do if she came to her with these problems or old her what she had been up to? Was Nyako that much of a monster that even the sister who once was proud to call herself a demon, be afraid to confide in her?
Maybe it was true. Maybe Nyako was more monster than she wanted to believe. The proof of it was what had happened earlier in the night in the tag match against Taylor and Comacho. Women that she claimed to respect and thought of as allies, and in Comacho’s case possibly a friend, she struck out at viscously and unprovoked. She could blame it on what was going on in her personal life, and part of it could be true. It seemed that when things got too much for her she took it out on anyone available: friend or foe.
Was this the reason why her sister kept secrets from her? She was afraid she would incur Nyako’s wrath? If she could turn on people she respected, what would she do to someone she love?
The water started to get chill as Nyako had been in the shower for a long time. She turned it off and stepped out and grabbed a towel to dry herself off as her mind continued to play over the events. She needed to apologize to Comacho. She tried hard to make sure she wasn’t the person she was tonight. Yet it all came crashing down in an instance. She fought the urges to win by any means necessary, and yet she snapped. Yes she did want to make Gabriella be wary of her for the upcoming championship match for the Marquee Title, but she didn’t want the strong willed latina, to be worried about Nyako doing underhanded things to win. Even in Nyako’s beginnings of her wrestling career, when she wasn’t trying to make a good impression she would not sink to these depths. She had to get out in front of it before it got blown out of proportion. She had to seek Syn’s help in this and possibly Raheem too, to help with damage control. Of course he was probably working overtime to control what was going on with Oni right now also.
She needed to get Kymiku to talk to her. The anger she had toward her sister before they fought tonight was still lingering a bit, but Nyako felt she was in as much wrong in how things happened as her sister was. She needed to shoulder her own part in what happened. Maybe she drove her sister to doing the thigns she had done. So really why was she so pissed at her for it.
Nyako threw on her clothes as she let her hair stay wet and hung down her back. It would serve her right to catch a cold or the flu for how she had handled things. May it would eklp in keeping the monster she felt she was becoming at by.
She stepped out of the locker room with her gear in hand and saw her sister standing right outside. A sense of frustration about everything started to bubble up inside. She knew she told Kymiku she wanted answers for what was going on, but she wasn’t sure if she wanted to know the answers why everything happened or what was the reason behind it. Still things would have to be resolved, and this time was better than any, if it was reparable.
<”Kymiku, my sister, I am sorry abut my behavior. Not only for during the match, but also before the match. If I have ever given you any indication that you could not come to me about anything going on in your life. I take fault in how I mad you feel that way.”> Nyako said in Korean starting the dialog with her sister. <”Please, if you would only give me a chance to understand what is happening, what is going on.”>
Seeing Nyako standing there and talking so earnestly struck a deep cord in me and I nearly burst into tears, but I had promised myself that I would not cry again. Instead, I walked over and threw my arms around my sister, holding her tight to me. I would have pulled her inside myself if I could. I buried my face in her wet hair and then kissed her on the cheek as I whispered to her, <”Don’t apologize…this is all my fault.”>
I let her go and backed a way, gathering my hands behind me. “A few weeks ago I got upset with you after you said that I was another problem that you had to contend with. I had no right to be angry, because it was true and I knew it. I was a problem for you then and I am a problem now!” I sighed, shaking my head in frustration. “I caused another huge problem for you and you took it out on Taylor and Camacho! That was completely my fault Ny…and I am sorry. You aren’t that person that I saw out there…I made you that way…”
…she IS that person and you just brought it out of her; she’s almost ready…she’s almost ready to hear about what really happened to her brother…can’t you see it…
My breath caught in my throat and I nearly hyperventilated at the thought of talking to my sister about Senji. That was the last thing that she needed. We need to deal with what had happened tonight…period.
I stared at Nyako, “I will talk to Taylor and Camacho…I will let them know that I am to blame for this. They may not believe me or they may want revenge…but I can take it, for the both of us.
Nyako caressed her sisters face and looked at her sympathetically. "It was my doing, Kymiku, I am taking responsibility for my actions. You were responsible for none. I am the one who dorve you to be afraid to come to me about anything."
Nyako dropped her hand from Oni's face and turned away, slightly ashamed. "When I said that about things happening to me, I did not mean to include you as a problem. I mentioned you because you are one of the bright spots in my life since returning to the wrestling world. THe circumstances it happend were less than ideal, but as of now I wouldn't av changed a thing about it."
She looked back to Oni with a sad smile on her face as tears seemed to well up in her eyes. "I will release a statement taking full blame for what went down in the match. It was my anger and frustration that got the better of me and I need to control them better than I have as of late. Yes I want you to tell me everything that has happened or is happening, but I have no right to make you feel bad about not confiding in me. I also have no right to make others suffer for my own issues."
For the first time since I was blindsided in the airport by CTN, I felt that things would be okay. “I’ll tell you everything…I promise…” I paused, remembering my promise to SoLo. “Let’s just wait for Song…I told her that I would sit you both down and talk this out, and that is what I plan on doing.”
I sighed, “This whole video thing couldn’t have come at a worst time and I have no one to blame but myself. I mean…right now you are on the verge of your biggest match in your career against a woman we both respect, and you have to deal with this. I am so ashamed right now…you have no idea!”
<"There is no reason to be ashamed Kymiku."> Nyako started of in Korean. "I don't want you to feel you have caused my worry and harm. Yes I was initially upset and hurt that you felt you had to keep things like this as a secret from me, but the fact of the matter is you are my sister and I will always forgive you no matter what. You have no reason to worry that this will cause me to lose focus on my up coming battle with Comacho. If you purposely did it to take my attention away then things would be different. But you are not that person anymore."
Nyako's smile got a little bit bigger, trying to ease her sister's guilt. "Honestly, I think I have done more damage in what is to come than you have. I have to face the woman I wronged tonight. I hope she can find it in herself to forgive me. If not I will also understand. I noticed the fire in the eyes of Taylor after we left the ring and I think she is the type to hold a grudge no matter what."
Nyako put her arm across Oni's shoulder guiding her toward the backdoor exit. "Right now though, I think finding our sister Song is the utmost importance. THe sooner we deal wit htis issue between the three of us and how we will deal with it the better it will be and you will see you don't need o hide things."
